"Staff and hotel room were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Amenities in the pool and sauna could do with an update but all still usable. Gym is a little bit too small but enough to get a workout in"

"Whilst our room (47) was dated but perfectly satisfactory, unfortunately there were people above us, and the floor was not good enough to hide the heavy footsteps and talk above which disturbed me considerably for the one night we were there. The outside of the building is undergoing renovations, which can't be helped but rather unsightly, entrance from car park also messy, not very welcoming. We had lunch in the bistro (burgers) which was average, but thoroughly enjoyed the mixed mini desserts after. We didnt have breakfast so can't comment. The hotel is well placed to explore the river and town, and we enjoyed a trip to the butterfly farm just around the corner. Although there is a car park we did find it difficult to find because there were no signs at the exact point of hedging where the entrance was."
