You can enjoy all the amenities at the Intercontinental by paying a fee for day use. Totally worth it I think, as I have found no good beaches on Tahiti. (We once asked a taxi driver to take us to the best beach, and he dropped us of in a strip of sand behind the McDonald's.) At the resort, you have access to the pool, a snorkeling pond, and a small beachfront where you can also rent scuba gear. And they even have hammocks between the palm trees. #Goals.

Les draps devaient être lavés, mais rester taché, les tapis de bain aussi, et nous avons dû même passer le balai pour enlever des fourmis qui était dans la partie cuisine.

So glad we stayed at the InterContinental Resort Tahiti, as we met up with some other couples (also on the cruise we had been on with) staying elsewhere, not as happy as we were.

It reminded me of Mexico. Trash and junk everywhere. Everything was run down and dirty. Not the "paradise" you think of. Only some of the resorts on Tahiti are nice and clean and kept up.
