So glad we stayed at the InterContinental Resort Tahiti, as we met up with some other couples (also on the cruise we had been on with) staying elsewhere, not as happy as we were.

Beautiful place, very quiet and picturesque. Great view of the ocean with ships passing by. I would strongly recommend paying extra for a room with a balcony and ocean view.

We arrived late in the evening on our flight. We could see the hotel from the airport so decided we would just walk. It reminded me of Mexico. Trash and junk everywhere. Everything was run down and dirty. Not the "paradise" you think of. Only some of the resorts on Tahiti are nice and clean and kept up.
