Great Rustic House on a Private Pond
Remote, private sprawling camp with a large screened-in porch and access to great fishing, swimming and kayaking. The camp sits up overlooking a spring fed pond. When I say pond you need to understand it is over 70 feet deep. The piece and quite of this is hard to find in today's busy world. Imagine having your morning coffee down by the water or in the fully screened in porch. There is a small cozy nook for your family to play games at or have a great family dinner. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable each with its own bathroom. Even has a washer and dryer. Everything you would need to have your family make memories that will last a life time.

Wonderful experience We heard each other and the birds. Plenty of time to rest. Screened in porch was great. Waterfront and screened in porch enjoyed 100%
We were looking for somewhere to have a quiet family vacation with our children ages 10 and 18. This property is beautiful! The camp was cozy and fun. The best part was the pond. The kids were able to paddle boat all around and they spent a lot of time fishing. It's a great little place to veg out and to relax away from it all.
The ccamp was cozy and fun.
The cottage was as described. The area by the pond was perfect. My small grandchildren could walk into the water and play and swim. It is a great fishing spot. Loved sitting in the screened porch in the evening and early in the morning. Very peaceful.
Stayed for a long weekend with my brother. Had an excellent time with accessible kayaks, fishing, and other.
The property itself is exactly as described. The pond-side yard is large. Owners were very courteous and left us instructions upon our arrival (re: dishes, laundry, etc.).
I was surprised at just how private the pond was - basically all to ourselves. It's not often you come across such an affordable rental property with what seemed like exclusive access to a private pond (by "private", I mean that we were the only ones who used it over four days).
Would highly recommend and will likely look back to this property in the future.
The location was as described, and the pond was stunning. The camp needs work. Advertised as having air conditioning, but the air conditioning was limited to one bedroom and living room, leaving two bedrooms with only fans. Wi-fi was spotty at best making it difficult to access on-line directions to nearby hiking, stores, etc. The water contains sulfur, which was not disclosed until we arrived. you literally could not take a shower because the smell of rotten eggs was so strong. Advertised as sleeping for ten, but only three bedrooms and a couch? We traveled with an infant who can crawl, we had to remove liquid ant bait as it was located on the floors.

Summer vacation
I am a very positive person and enjoy life. For this review I need to say a couple negative things that are very important to know when renting this property. We were not informed about a half mile of unmaintained driveway. This driveway is very bad and to expect someone to come in with a car is asking a lot. Don't get me wrong it's doable but it has big potholes and is washed out in multiple places. 2nd they list that they have Wi-Fi but it is DSL and spotty. It did not work at all while we were there. Owners told us it was being worked on. But to be honest if I knew before I booked that they had DSL and spotty Wi-Fi I would not have rented. Don't get me wrong I am 54 years old and I enjoy getting away from technology. But on this family vacation we come back home and it is important to us to be in touch with family and friends who are coming to visit us. That brings on another thing. There is no cell service at all. There is a couple spots that you can try to get service but it is very weak. There are also multiple minor things in the rental that should be addressed. Now this rental is very spacious with a beautiful screen porch. The lake is breathtaking and the swimming and fishing is great. Kayaking is so peaceful on this lake. It is very private with no one around. I cannot say enough about how beautiful that lake is. And the screen porch. Those things deserve three stars by themselves. Unfortunately we will not return to this location. Life is good be positive. 😊
