"Amazing! What an adorable property to really get a feel for life in 1863. We stayed in the Texas room in the Welty house, which was there during the battle. The room was fantastic, and the en suite was just what we needed. A nice surprise was the hot tub access! We also had breakfast our last morning there, and it was quite tasty (but the grab-n-go) was perfect for our busier mornings. Parking was a bit tight, but we were there on a holiday weekend, so it was expected. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. We’ll definitely be back."

"So I love that the hotel accepts dogs but they should be put at the end of hall ways not at the elevators. We had one barking every time the elevator dinged. The water pressure was really bad for how nice the shower was. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were in really good shape. When going down for breakfast, make sure you look all the way in the room because the wall had dividers and hid the eggs, sausage, and waffles. Staff was very friendly. And even whole under construction there was no issues."

"We had an amazing stay at the lodge. The cabin was clean and cozy. Loved having the little private deck to sit out on. The staff at check in and at the tavern (especially Regina) were super friendly. I would 100% recommend."

"The room was clean and bed was comfy. Brwakfast was OK - the eggs each day were hard and tasteless, but the sausage and waffles were good. We commented to the woman who gets the breakfast ready (who also works the front desk) that breakfast was ready early and she snapped that she always has it ready early! We said - Oh, we 've never been here before so we didnt know. She just walked away from us. That could have been handled so much better!"
