After submitting the requested note, the reservation was ultimately marked as a no-show and no refund was approved because the cancellation window had passed. I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, but the process was frustrating and gave me the impression there might be flexibility for medical circumstances when there ultimately was not. Future guests should carefully review the cancellation terms and not assume exceptions will be made, even in emergency situations."
