We’ve rented this cabin for a 7-night getaway and we enjoyed every minute! Very clean, nicely decorated, well equipped, comfortable beds with large secluded space for our 4 loud kids. They loved it ! The owner was responding to our inquiries right away and was able to accommodate all our particular needs! Highly recommend!!!

Our 2nd time booking/staying at Nomad Haus because we loved it so much the first time, we were sold on coming back again. Had a wonderful stay, saw three moose hanging out several times in the meadow behind the house, took a nice little hike, hung out, relaxed, ate well and just had another splendid time there!Nomad Haus has every amenity you could ever need, it's very clean, quiet, comfortable and the owners are easy to get ahold of if ever needed. 5 *****'s!

Much needed getaway! Everything about this booking/place was awesome. Exactly as described, easy to find, great communications, awesome accommodations, great view. Absolutely would book again! We have T-Mobile and were able to use our phones and had no problems with internet connection. Thank you SO much for sharing your home with us.

Has everything you need to escape the city. Spent Christmas Eve and day there. Saw several female moose nearby with a male coming right in the property for Christmas morning.. Breckinridge is a 45 min drive and amazing views. You 100% need a AWD or 4x4 in the winter to make the last turn. Completely recommend.

One huge part of why we picked this cabin and any getaway location like this is to enjoy the views and all the amenities the cabin offers. We were not allowed to go out on to the deck that had all the great views. There was structural damage from the heavy snows during the season but we were not informed about this ahead of arriving or booking. We would not have booked this cabin if we had known this! The water had a very strong iron smell and thwarted our ability to enjoy using the water let alone drink the water. We left a day early but still paid full price! We feel we should be reimbursed the day we didn’t stay in the cabin and more for all we missed out on!

My family of 5 stayed here for 4 nights. My kids loved that they had the downstairs area to themselves and especially loved the bunkbeds! They had a variety of games, tv upstairs and downstairs, and most everything we needed in the kitchen for a week of cooking. A few things to mention... We did have a little bit of difficulty gaining access when we arrived. More detailed instructions would have helped. There is a fire pit on the outside upstairs deck. It has a makeshift metal shield. There were a few sharp jagged edges that could cause a nasty cut if you ran into it or walked too closely. This worried me a little with our young kids. We never could find a DVD player, which would have been nice to have but not too big of a deal. Luckily, we had our portable DVD player. If you plan on washing clothes during your stay beware of washing white clothes. The water was discolored and the washing machine, toilets, bathtubs and kitchen sink were all stained. Against my better judgement, I washed a load of clothes that contained a brand new white shirt. The shirt came out dingy with a yellow tinge, it was not the same color as when it went in. All that aside, we would stay here again! It was a very roomy cabin and comfortable to relax in. The view off the back deck is amazing!

This house was perfect for us, as our teenagers had their private spaces, and the view from the deck was immensely enjoyed. I loved all the little comforts, especially the blankets, the fireplace, and the coffee nook! We also had fun with the arcade game. My only concern was that the wireless small cell was right outside the master bedroom window, meaning only about 6 feet from my head. Not something a lot of people care about, but for those who are EMF-sensitive, thought I'd mention it.

This place was the perfect place to relax. It was remote but not too remote for day trips. The views of the mountains were amazing and they were set up for total entertainment. Lots of games to play, great place for my teens to have their own space. Very clean and comfortable. There was even a record player that had all the perfect records. It actually rained a bit but with the fireplace and music it was a great time to unplug!

The cabin and property owners awesome. Not to hard to get to the cabin, if you are coming up winter time would highly recommend 4x4. The owners welcomed us with open arm with a gift basket and some wonderful snacks for my family. There are a lot of signs of wildlife. We did get to see a fox, but there are some moose and deer tracks all over. Cabin inside is absolutely wonderful. They provided a coffee bar with all the needs. The beds are super comfortable and plenty of extra blankets. Thank you for a great time and relaxation.

First they took the time to provide a welcome basket for my daughter and a welcome book with all the places to eat, and visit. The view was awesome, plenty of animal tracks around the cabin. Only saw a fox and raccoons , but was still worth it. The cabin has all the needs from coffee bar and maker. Beds are nice and fluffy. Next trip back will be back at this cabin for sure. Thank you again for an awesome trip.

This is a great place to have some family time and separation for the quiet. The property management took great care of us. We were so happy to find a highchair in the home for our 1 and a half yo. Recommend for any 8 to 10 person family or smaller. Thank you for a memorable stay. 🙏🏽 Daniel C.

What an idyllic location to just getaway from it all, and just 15 minutes from the town of Fairplay. The house has a wonderful layout, living space and two bedrooms upstairs, bunkbeds and lounging area downstairs. Great light and a lovely view of a meadow and mountains make the upstairs great for relaxing. On top of that a wide deck with dining table, couch and fire pit give you the option to lounge outside. We especially enjoyed the deck for breakfast, drinks and dinner outside. The stars at night are incredible. Although no moose were spotted it was not for lack of trying. We spend a day climbing Mount Pennsylvania, the trailhead for which is only about a 10 minute drive. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well appointed. I know in previous reviews there was mention of water issues but they seem to have been solved. Communication with the owner was great and the little issues we had were promptly addressed.. We are looking forward to going back next year hopefully for a little longer stay.

We loved our stay at this house for our summer family vacation. Super clean and lots of room to spread out. The deck was a perfect setting for our early morning coffee while enjoying a nice peaceful view. The first floor (entertainment room and bunk beds) was the perfect space for our kids. The second floor bedrooms were very nice too. And the check-in/check-out process was super easy. The contacts for the house are very helpful and easy to reach if you need anything. We will definitely be going back to this house the next time we go to Colorado. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience here for our honeymoon. The place was perfect and we wanted to have a great view and be in the mountains. This place was all that and more. We were able to see several moose in the back and this place was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful view in the mountains !!

We arrived the day after an early snow storm. The owner suggested 4-wheel drive vehicle which we found to be a good recommendation. We stayed her last year and have found it to be very comfortable for 2 couples but would be a perfect choice for children to enjoy as well. The kitchen is very well stocked. The view of the beautiful meadow was fabulous and we viewed several moose during our stay. The owner is very receptive to any questions or concerns that you might have and works to resolve them all promptly. We’ll return again next year for sure
