El Alamein is an hour away from Alexandria, which wasn’t something we hadn’t fully realised until we got there. Also, it was not peak season so many things were not fully operating, like the Aqua Park. The apartment we stayed in was far away from the nearest pool so we needed to be driven there. "Lovely place it looks like it closer to the faiyum than the photos show.
The pool was nice and clean although we were the only non modest guest which made my wife uncomfortable to wear a bikini.
The bed was nice but the air-conditioning dripped on our head all night, not sure why but we couldn't sleep..
Also the hot water was turned off at night so I couldn't have a warm shower. It would also be good for them to have a mosquito repellent/ fogger as we were bitten every night.
