About this property
Egret, South Creake, Norfolk
Located in the charming village of South Creake, just outside of the popular Georgian village of Burnham Market, Egret is a beautiful property with calm coastal-themed interiors, plus a large enclosed garden, that will defeat even the most determined of canine escape artists. This comfortable and peaceful rural hideaway is only seven miles inland from the coast, meaning trips to the beach are easy!
Egret is a spacious detached house sitting in the middle of the of South Creake, which is well known for its quaint village green and playing field where resident ducks dabble in the River Burn that runs through the village. An '80s house, Egret is particularly light, airy and well-furnished with numerous coastal Norfolk photos - so there's always a reminder that you are not too far from the sea. On the ground floor there is an intimate sitting room that leads through glazed doors into a spacious open-plan, airy and sunny L-shaped dining kitchen featuring a central island and french doors to the garden. In a cosy corner, the vaulted garden room has additional french doors leading to the garden, which features a patio area with seating and a barbecue - perfect for those summer evenings. The kitchen has an adjoining utility room, and off the hallway there is a cloak/ shower room. Up the stairs are four attractive bedrooms, two super king-size zip-and-link beds, and two king-size beds, one of which is zip-and-link, and two further bathrooms, one of which boasts an en-suite.
The village is well-equipped with a popular pub, cake and vegetable stalls selling local produce and a well-stocked garden centre full of plants. The playing field is a spacious area for children to play and be amused for hours. There are grass tennis courts close by too, which can be booked online during the summer months. Situated a short drive away from the upmarket coastal village of Burnham Market, Egret is perfectly positioned for exploring the many delights of both rural and coastal North Norfolk. Ideal for families, couples and friends who want to bring their dogs along too - up to six well-behaved dogs are welcome. The nearby market town of Fakenham offers numerous supermarkets, as well as petrol stations - both hard to come by in rural Norfolk!
Egret is also available as a sleeps four option, with bedrooms three and four closed off: Egret (4).

Winter break
Egret provides a great base for break , the house is comfortable and well set out . The garden is enclosed which is fantastic as we brought our dogs with us. The village is really pleasant with a large green and small river ( with plenty of ducks)
The village pub is a very short walk away and the staff are really friendly and the food fantastic
We would happily return

Family Friendly
A very nice place to stay. Garden is very secure for children and dogs. Cottage is very well equipped and clean. We were very lucky with the weather as it was extremely hot and like that there are fans provided in the bedrooms. Would definitely stay again.
