"The setting of the hotel is stunning. It is peaceful and calm location. The food is good. The hot chocolate is a must try. The staff are friendly. The excursions offered by the hotel are well organised. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The hotel is more beautiful than the pictures. Feedback points: Pre hotel stay communication was slow and could have been faster. "

"We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury" resort--there's no wifi or AC-but for the average traveler who wants to feel comfortable and relax, and who is interested in not seeing the "same old" Senegal, this place is for you! I would return again without hesitation. While you're there: take a day trip to Fadiouth and the amazing Musee Mich"
