Quaint farmhouse in an idyllic location between a knight's castle and bathing pond

  • In the lovingly restored, overgrown with wild wine older farmhouse, overlooking the castle Falkenfels, you can enjoy quiet and relaxing days. Falkenfels is 18 km from Straubing, where the foothills of the Bavarian Forest merge into the Danube plain. It has a castle, a pond, a children's playground, a village shop, a bank, a bakery, a library and hiking trails.

    The house has a living area of 120 sqm. On the ground floor there is a living room with tiled stove, then there is a small kitchen with dishwasher. From the kitchen you go into a large earth cellar built into the mountain. The bathroom, with 13 sqm area, was the old stable and has a bath, shower toilet, sink and coal stove.

    Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. One with 2 beds, the other with a single bed and a room with adjoining bedroom with a bed 140 cm wide. No water connection.

    Around the house are the guest meadows with garden furniture, a vegetable garden, fruit trees and a gazebo available. Here you can see up to Gäuboden.

Rundum gelungen

Wir hatten einen angenehmen und erholsamen Aufenthalt in Falkenfels. Der Empfang bei Ankunft war sehr freundlich und der Kontakt mit den Vermietern ebenso. Das urige alte Haus ist sehr gemütlich. Der Badesee direkt vor der Tür sicherte jederzeit Abkühlung an heißen Sommertagen.

Urlaub in einem historischem alten Haus

Wir haben in einem wunderschönen alten Haus mit Garten und alten Obstbäumen gewohnt. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und mit historischen Möbeln bestückt. Viele Holzmöbel sind mit Bauernmalereien verziert. Direkt vor dem Haus ist ein Dorfweiher, der über einen Steg zum Baben einlud. Auch der wunderschöne Garten vor und neben dem Haus lud zum Verweilen ein. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Zwischen den Jahren im Bayerischen Wald

Wir waren Silvester 2023 in Falkenfels und haben unseren Ausflug in zurückliegende Zeiten sehr genossen. Der Kachelofen heizt das ganze Haus, Holz gibt es ausreichend im Schuppen. Die Internetverbindung ist ausreichend, um Ausflüge zu planen, aber telefonisch ist Mensch per Festnetz erreichbar. Der Vermieter ist innerhalb von 24 Stunden erreichbar. Unsere Auszeit von der modernen Welt war sehr erholsam.

Auszeit im bayrischen Wald

Sehr schön und erholsam, nur schade, dass wir nicht schwimmen durften. Sonst war alles perfekt. Ein wunderschönes altes Häuschen mit Garten , Blick auf den See und die Burg. Wir haben es genossen. Zum kochen war alles da. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Jeden Tag konnten wir etwas ernten. Frische Zucchini , Tomaten. Zwiebeln, Lauch und Klaraäpfel. Einfach herrlich.

Ein Sommermärchen

Schöner könnte es einfach nicht sein! Das Haus ist mit Weinlaub und mit Rosen umrankt, drin ein Kachelofen, Ticktackuhren, Möbel mit Geschichte, Bücher, Kuschelbetten, draussen Obstbäume, eine Laube, eine Bank zum Teich, in dem wir morgens und abends geschwommen sind. Selbst, wenn die Region nur halb so interessant wäre, wäre das liebe Haus allein die Reise wert. Immer haben wir uns nach unseren Tagesausflügen auf es gefreut! Zum Praktischen: Alles ist da, was es im Alltag braucht, der Gast wird freundlich empfangen und grosszügig (fern)betreut.

Erholung pur

Wer Erholung und Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig.Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung im Internet. Ein urig eingerichtetes Bauernhaus, mit einem tollen Kachelofen, den wir in vollem Umfang nutzen durften. Man fühlt sich in Oma's Zeit zurück versetzt, es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr herzlich und bei Fragen war er immer erreichbar. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Das ist schon wirklich ein besonderes Feriendomizil!

Liebevoll und authentisch eingerichtet, als wäre man bei einer Großmutter in den 60-er Jahren– aber mit Geschirrspüler und WLAN! Viel Platz auf zwei Etagen, Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, dazu ein Erdkeller-„Kühlhaus“. Ein Laube, ein Grillplatz und eine Wiese unterm Apfelbaum zum Lesen, ein Zugang zum Badeweiher – der hatte im Juni gerade die richtige Badetemperatur! Die Hähne melden sich urlaubsfreundlich eher nachmittags, diverse Katzen sehen nach, wer hier neues rumläuft, die Johannisbeeren mussten auch noch gepflückt werden…. Stimmt – ja, das ist nicht sachlich, sondern wir waren beide einfach begeistert! Wir haben uns in den achten Tagen hier wirklich fast paradiesisch wohlgefühlt, der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr nett und unkompliziert. (Für uns eine echte Alternative zu ländlichen Urlauben in Umbrien, der Provence oder Madeira –) wir planen jetzt schon unseren nächste Auszeit in Falkenfels! – Martin / Andrea / Hürth - NRW

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in dem bezaubernd urigen Bauernhaus verbracht. Zu Beginn war es im Haus noch ein wenig kalt (Kälteeinbruch Anfang April), aber mit den vorhandenen elektrischen Radiatoren und dem Ofen in der Wohnstube hatten wir es schnell gemütlich warm. Das Haus liegt idyllisch am Badeweiher zu Füßen der Burg und die Umgebung ist herrlich für Spaziergänge und Wanderungen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich und angenehm.

Uriges Bauernhaus

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem authentischen Haus. Dank der warmen Witterung im Juli konnten wir im Weiher schwimmen. Sehr ruhige Lage mit tollem Ausblick.

Individuell - Charmant - Superschön

Kein Objekt von der Stange. Das Haus wird sowohl vermietet als auch vom Eigentümer selbst genutzt. Manches ist über die Jahre gewachsen (Küche) oder würde man in einem vermieteten Objekt nicht unbedingt erwarten. Aber, passt schon :-). WLAN und Waschmaschine sind vorhanden. Für die Küche hatten wir uns noch eine zweite Kochplatte mitgebracht. Wir haben den Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen. Der Kühlkeller, der große Tisch in der Stube, drei Schlafzimmer im 1. OG mit stimmiger Möblierung und guten Matratzen. Aber und vor allem die Lage. Direkt vor dem Haus eine kleine heckengeschütze Rasenfläche mit Platz für Liege und Bank. Ein improvisierter direkter Zugang zum Weiher (freigegeben zum baden). Der direkte Blick auf die Burgruine Falkenfels an der sich Abends die Sonne reflektierte und Nachts der Mond durch den Apfelbaum schien. Wunderschön. Ein Haus mit Charme aber auch Individualitäten deshalb ruhig die Objektbilder genau ansehen. Niedrige Türhöhe, knarrende Fußbodenbohlen und eine offene Treppe gehören zum Haus dazu. In Falkenfels selbst gibt es einen kleinen EDEKA der relativ gut bestückt ist. Das Wirtshaus hat coronabedingt aktuell kein Essen im Angebot. 4 km entfernt in Ascha gibt es unter anderem einen großen EDEKA der auch Angebote für Vegetarisches und Veganes hat. Unsere Fahrräder haben wir zu Hause gelassen. In der direkten Umgebung ist man nur als Rennradfahrer mit Bergprüfungsambitionen gut aufgehoben. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt und auch mit ein paar Tagen Abstand gelingt es mir nicht wirklich neutral zu bleiben :-).
