"We had a great time in the pool but nobody came out to skim off the bugs. The grill was great and saved some $ on going out. We got there 1hr 30 minutes early and was told it would cost an extra $20 for early check in. I never encountered that before. Not nice. When we came back at 3pm check in time we were told the room wasn’t ready. So we took another room since we would need to wait till 4pm for our room. No accommodation was made by the manager who was unapologetic unlike the receptionist...
"Historic, charming, and quaint hotel in the center of Bernardsville, close to a number of restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant, the Red Horse, was quite good. Cute bar area, too. I enjoyed a lovely dinner there on my first night. Breakfasts at the Bernards Cafe and the Coffee Shop were both really good. Hotel room was pretty clean but bathroom was tight on space, mainly due to a lovely but too large sink that stuck out too far and made navigating to the toilet and shower a little awkward,...
