"It was our 5th stay at Howgills Apartment. As before, we were very happy with service provided. Our apartment was clean, warm and cosy. We had all we needed. Location is brilliant if you like see hills around from morning until evening and if you are walker."

"Howgill Barn proved to be a good location for our annual five day New Year self catered event for 22 people. Plenty of warm socialising space with fun areas like games room and hot tub. It would be particularly spacious in the warmer months when you could get outside on the large patio. The bunk rooms were a little tight but good that each one had its own toilet, washbasin and shower. The upstairs kitchen was also on the small size but doable but if necessary a large kitchen was available downstairs. Both kitchens well furnished with all essential items for large scale catering. Excellent location for short and long hikes locally from the door. Plenty of parking space."

"Lovely well appointed dog friendly apartment located centrally in Sedbergh. Bed comfortable. Shower hot and powerful. Nice veranda (but not in Nov!). Easy access although would be much easier to unload from the car park? (A gate on the veranda would make a big difference). The property wasnt easily found in the dark - maybe improve directions?"

"Everything was clean. The modern kitchen offered everything that we needed. The living room was small but cosy with the log burner. The staff satisfied our request with a baby high chair (a travel cot was also possible but we did not need it). The only issue for us was the shower which was not very powerful."

"Loved this place! The host does an INCREDIBLE job of making this flat completely gorgeous. From the welcome basket to all the equipment needs in a home away from home (I needed the iron desperately!) to the available snacks... and thank you for putting a bottle of milk in the fridge!! Tea was the thing I wanted the most when I arrived.... The location is ideal for Sedbergh, and I was amazed at how quiet the flat was, given it was on the busy little main street, where delivery trucks are always whizzing by. Couldn't hear a thing! The bed was glorious, a huge king size and super comfortable bedding. And the towels!! OMG other hotels need to learn from those towels. So thick and fluffy and luxurious. If I'd had room in my bursting suitcase I might have nicked one. The bathroom was adorable and the shower was unreal! I want to know where that shower head came from. The only thing I would suggest is put a larger shower glass on the bath, because as you're enjoying the acres of hot water and gushing shower stream, you have to be careful not to spill it all over the bathroom floor in your blissful unawares. So if you want a perfect little place in the heart of Sedbergh from which you can walk to everything, this is it! But I would limit yourselves to two people. There is sleeping room for four, but it might get a little tight. For two, it's perfect. Thank you so much!!"

"Fire doors prevented flow through the apartment Damp smell in onsuite shower-fan didnt appear to be working Mattress too small for bedframe. Easy to catch toes.uncomfortable getting out of bed We are 2 adults who booked a 2 bedroomed apartment only to find the 2nd bedroom locked and unavailable to us-we left a night early because of this Otherwise apartment comfortable-plenty of crockery/cutlery -spotless everywhere. Nice views of the fells from the sitting area window"
