Family Getaway

The property is beautiful. The hot tub is amazing. Kids had a blast running around on the grass. Very fun trip!

We were celebrating my son's graduation from college with a family vacation. We had plenty of room. Loved the fire pit area. Good location to area attractions. The house could use some love, but it worked out well for our group of eight. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

Great time away with family!

Met all of our expectations and was as described. Felt remote for ultimate relaxation yet was close to area attractions to satisfy our curiosity about the area. Host was responsive to our needs. I would definitely go there again!

Wedding weekend with family

We had a wonderful long weekend stay with family. Our son got married about 30 min down the road and we stayed here. It was a perfect place away from al the wedd8ng chaos.

New Favorite

I wish I can give this property more than 5 stars. This is our new favorite place to stay when we are in the area. The location is perfect and secluded. The hot tub is a 20/10.. all the comforts of home and much more.

50th Anniversary Celebration

Our family returned to the family homestead in Farmington, PA to celebrate our 50th anniversary with almost 100 family and friends. We spent 5 nights in this house preparing for the party and it more than met our expectations. The hot tub was great on the cool autumn evenings. We found the owner to be extremely responsive to our questions and requests. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful

The cabin is fantastic, very spacious and comfortable. If i had anything to complain about it would be the mattress's, they are too firm. I highly recommend this cabin. Look forward to going back.

Family getaway

This was our second visit because we had such a great experience during our first visit. The house is beautiful, spacious, and in great condition. The surroundings are peaceful and the hot tub was a great addition! Hosts were responsive to our messages.

October family getaway

Our family stayed at the Wilderness Lodge Oct.13-15. We enjoyed our stay very much even though we had rain. The house had a few "quirks" that should be addressed, but we managed just fine. Best hot tub of any of the vacation homes we've stayed at. House is roomy and having several bathrooms was a plus.

Wilderness Lodge

This property was absolutely gorgeous! I picked this cabin because of the pictures, but it was even more beautiful in person! I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The bedrooms were spacious. The living room was huge. The kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was great. The bathrooms were beautiful. Can’t say enough!

Well appointed lodge

Property is as advertised, well furnished, and in a great location; quiet but not far from a few things to do (casino, winery, distillery). I missed that the fireplace is not functional but that was my fault. Everything else was great. Easy access and owner was very responsive, accommodating, and kind. Will definitely consider returning.

Lack of empathy

The house was really nice.....however, there where several red flags there was no service in the house because all the usage depends on wifi ...the power continued to go out on numerous occasions... My car was stuck in the snow the property owners son was able to pull me out of the snow, and i was very very grateful....However the owner showed no empathy at all even that the house was cold to the point that we had to leave a after being there for less then 24 hrs...there was no running water and the heat did not work. We could not call for help because there was no wifi and the owner not once attempted to make contact or to check on us... We had to keep leaving the property to contact them.. i booked the place because it was what i was lookingfor to help my sister and neice celebrate thier birthday.. but it came to a end early due to the unfortunate circumstances

Great location with a lot to do

The primary reason we rented Wilderness Lodge was it’s proximity to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. It was about a fifteen minute drive to get there from the Lodge. It turned out that there was more to see in the area. We went to Ohiopyle State Park where some of us took sunrise photos. There were several good restaurants near by. Maywood Grill has killer home fries. The Lodge fit our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room for the six of us. The kitchen everything we needed to prepare meals. Lots of pots and pans. Two different coffee makers, a large toaster and a good sized refrigerator. There is a large deck with plenty of chairs to sit and relax. We saw deer and heard turkeys in the woods. Our entire stay was relaxing. The only down side was the Wi-Fi was a little sketchy, but not intolerable. There are televisions in every bedroom, plus the living room. You won’t go wrong staying at Wilderness Lodge.

Great for groups/families

Everything about this place met our expectations. We came with our two grown sons, their wives and our grandchildren aged 3, 5, and 7. There was plenty of room for all of us! The loft area was perfect for the kids to have their own space and the loft bedroom was perfect for 2. We loved all the bathrooms that seemed to be recently renovated and the decor was so thoughtfully put together for a fun lodge feel. The kitchen really was stocked with everything we needed...except maybe a sharp knife to cut watermelon. We made good use of the hot tub and enjoyed the large beautiful lawn and firepit area. One morning we saw turkeys and the day we left a big bear came out of the trees for a drink in the stteam...all of us got excited by that. There is so much to do in the area too. The kids loved the natural water slides, Cucumber falls and Laurel Cavern. The hosts were very responsive. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. I can only think of one downside and that was the wifi. Its there, but very slow. Our two sons had to work half days during our week, and needed to go to the local coffee shop to use their computers. We made it work but it would have been helpful to know in advance. All in all, this was a great place and we would surely come again! Thank you.

Perfect setting for relaxation

The house was beautiful and the setting very peaceful. Well stocked kitchen. The layout offered privacy and also a great open space for the family to hang out together.
