I loved my stay at the Oakmoon. I was the only one there for two days, so I had free use of my spacious room, plus the open-plan full kitchen and living room area and the funky little interior patio with hand-painted mural. The house is on a narrow street of mostly private homes and a few bars and restaurants and close to plenty of other restaurants, shops, the marina, cathedral, laundromat, etc. Sarah, the house manager, is friendly and very helpful, if you need anything.

Very nice property. I stayed for two nights. Comfortable bed, nice towels, and well equipped kitchen which also has a water filter so I didn’t have to buy drinking water. Easy walk to both bus and train stations, and other sites. I definitely recommend

What a fantastic stay. The room and the shower room were huge , spotlessly clean The communal rooms were also spotless and well thought out. The kitchen had multiple appliances to use, although we did not use any. The enclosed outside courtyard was quirky in its design but lovely to sit out in. The host Sara was quick to respond to any inquiries and helpful. Its position within the old part of faro was ideal with so much being within easy walking distance. I would thoroughly recommend this property

The Perfect Place to Stay in Faro

I loved my stay at Oakmoon House! The location is ideal for walking to restaurants, the historic center and other points of interest. My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows, large fluffy towels and the shutters made the room nice and dark for sleeping. The common areas were lovely, with a large dining table, a living room with comfortable couches and a nice patio area. The very modern kitchen is available for the guests to use. It is huge with everything you would need if you wanted to cook for yourself or just wanted to chill a bottle of wine in the refrigerator during your stay. While breakfast is not provided, coffee and tea is available. And, there were nice touches like motion detector lights in the stairway and halls, a keypad entry for the main door, plenty of outlets in the room, and information brochures and a restaurant guide. Sara was very helpful when I arrived recommending some nearby restaurants and offering some information about the area. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into this place to make it comfortable for the guests. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Faro and can highly recommend it!

Great place to stay, I highly recommend it. Very clean, beautifully decorated, modern shared kitchen, large common area and a beautiful outdoor patio with large painted mural. And the room itself was top notch. Good location, within walking distance to shops, waterfront, restaurants, sights, etc.

Everything was great except the noise! A club was just down the alley so there were constant loud revelers until 4 a. m. If you're a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you even with earplugs. Other than that, all was great - location, staff, room, amenities. The light fixture in our room was the coolest ever!
