"Very handy hotel within easy (3min) walking distance of Pisa airport. Rooms are basic but very clean and great for an overnight stay if you have an early flight to catch. We arrived the day before our flight so we're able to leave our bags and spend the day in Pisa (10 mins. from the hotel using the Pisa Mover train at the airport (buy a return ticket - it's slightly cheaper). "

"This is a pretty good place to stay at. It’s all on one floor but keep in mind it’s up two flights of stairs. On the site it does say that there is no elevator but it doesn’t state clearly that it’s on the second floor. The bathroom was super clean however the floors could use some work there was lots of dirt no carpet. Would stay again if I bring someone to take my suit case up the stairs. The owner was very nice and checks on you throughout your stay. "

"It was a cute place. They apparently have breakfast but couldn't find it in the morning. It may be at the residence next door. When you arrive, there is a bell by the outside gate to push and the owner will come over. I booked a room with 2 beds as it was me and my teenage daughter. the owner said we could only sleep on the one unless we paid an additional $10 EU."

"The property is in walking distance to the airport. We received clear messages from the owner how to access the building and the the room itself. It is very basic but clean, enough for a few days for a stopover. For being close to the airport it is noisy but we were tired so didn’t wake up at night. "

"Prior to our arrival to the B&B we were not informed how to get check-in. Luckily we found a key in the front and then we began the climb up the stairs to the correct floor. No one was there to check us in or explain anything. Keys were left on the reception desk at which point we took not sure if they were for us. "Simple but just enough for one night. The lady who gridded us was very nice. Room door very difficult to open with key. Bathroom not in room but still private. You have to come out of your room into a common small area and then go into the bathroom. It was kinda different, but I did not see anyone else there to share bathroom. Very convenient to walk to station , 3 blocks and a 15 min walk to the leaning tower where there were many restaurants . Very safe walk . Many small stores to buy water,...

"The property was easy to access and great for one night however the bathroom was terrible and there was quite a bit of noise from the road. The bathroom has a window into the bedroom without any curtains or blinds so you have no privacy when using the toilet and the bath has a high pressure shower head that would be great if there was anything to stop it from splashing all over the room as you try to use it. For one night to see the tower it is an ok place to stay but I wouldn't want to stay...

"Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. "This is a lovely, clean place to stay just a few minutes walk from Pisa airport. There was tea and coffee and snacks for us to help ourselves and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable."

"Overall very clean newly refurbished rooms, unfortunately there is only one bathroom / shower area to be shared by all guests. Potentially you could have eight to ten people accessing the bathroom facilities. There appears to be four different rooms on the floor. If you are staying here you have to phone ahead to arrange the handover of the keys as there isn’t anyone on-site "

Lucca itself is an amazing place with lots to see and do and, thanks to the recommendations from the Villa, we found some amazing restaurants. We couldn't have had a better stay."

"The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. "Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and air con worked very well in bedroom in a heatwave! Breakfast room was a little tight for the number of guests staying and air con did not really operate that well in reception area and breakfast room. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."

"10min walk to the nearest train station to get to other areas of italy such as florence and cinque terre. 15min walk to the tower of Pisa. Clean chalet, friendly & helpful staff, shop/cafe/restaurant on site. Kitchen area equipped with basics for cooking, there is no kettle,toaster, oven or microwave - just a 4 ringed gas hob which i feel could be improved more. Lots of mosquitos so ensure you pack repellant. Towels to hire. Good quality supermarket 10min walk away. I would definitely stay here...
