"Booked the room in February. After an 80 bicycle ride in mixed weather conditions, i was delighted to arrive at the hotel. Not delighted to find it locked. Tourist centre was kind enough to contact the owner that said that it was closed for renovations. Some kind of notice would be expected."

La Quinta is close to Pinhao, were we took a boat to navigate through the Douro with the most relaxing time. The Museu Coa is in the area and worth visiting. Thgere are many more places to visit nearby."

"we arrived and the hotel was closed with no response to our knocking at the entranc,totally deserted!! A neighbor told us it has been closed down . We had to drive a while in the dark to find a hotel for the night in another town. Very frustrating !!"
