"We have been coming every year to la Vendée to visit my family. We have stayed in numerous gites over the years. This is by far the best place! The owners are lovely, great communication and we all appreciated the biscuits on our arrival. The gite is very well equipped, everything you can think of is there and more. "La maison était idéalement située pour notre réunion de famille. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié - son confort, sa déco , sa propreté - les nuits calmes, l'ambiance village de campagne, la vue degagée sur les toits de tuile et les arbres du marais poitevin qui commence sur place- la boulangerie pâtisserie ouverte tous les matins à 50 metres du gîte pour agrémenter le petit déjeuner et préparer le pique-nique Nous y reviendrons pour la prochaine occasion!"

LOGIS HOTEL LE RABELAIS

10/10 Excellent

"Good hotel in the middle of town but needs a few bits of maintenance (e.g. leaking shower doors) and a few more members of staff. The restaurant was good with reasonbably priced meals although the chef needs to tone down the use of olive oil on the fish dish as it was swimming in it, and also learn the difference between saignant and bien cuit as my saignant steak was almost trop cuit! The main issue was the breakfast as a party of 40 Dutch tourists decended on the restaurant before checking out at 0900. When the few other guests arrived there were no clean tables and no food left. Understandable but what was incredible was that the young wonan in charge of breakfast was on heer own and overwhelmed. To her credit, once I'd alerted the lone receptionist to this she came and pitched in, as did the guests, setting tables etc. but that was areal failur of management. Why 5* then? Because it has potential and was perfect for our overnight stay with secure parking and (eventually) a great breakfast. If i'd been there for a week I'd probably have dropped it a star or two."

"We had a wonderful time at La Brionnière. The location is beautiful, lovely countryside away from it all. The gite is very well equipped and has everything you need, it was very homely.The highlight was the amazing pool which was big, very clean with plenty of sun loungers and seating and amazing views across the rolling fields beyond. Us incl. kids (4 and 6) loved it!Chris and Julie were so lovely, they made us feel at home and never tired of chatting to our very inquisitive 6 year old ;-)Puy du Fou is only half an hour drive away, we had an amazing time there as well. The various tree top climbing activities around the area were super fun too.We were very sad to leave at the end of our two week stay - the kids are already asking when we can go back.Merci beaucoup Chris & Julie et a bientôt!"

"18 mai 2026. Un super week-end de 4 jours pour notre groupe de 11 adultes et 3 enfants ! La météo était un peu mitigée, entre pluie et soleil, si bien que seuls les enfants ont profité de la piscine.L'endroit est très calme, avec pour seul bruit de fond le chant des oiseaux. Attention, car c'est une zone blanche : pas de réseau GSM, seul le wifi des gîtes permet de rester connecté.Kim nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de bienveillance, en nous offrant du pain, des pâtisseries et de la confiture faits maison.Les gîtes sont propres, la literie est de bonne qualité et la cuisine est bien équipée.Merci Kim ! Vous avez un site plein de potentiel qu'il faut continuer à développer et embellir petit à petit."
