Charming Beach Front Getaway at Sandy Point

Unwind and enjoy tranquil days in this charming beachfront getaway. Located north west of Bellingham on Sandy Point Shores, where everything you need is close at hand. Grocery shopping in Ferndale or Bellingham, Bellis Fair Mall and beautiful board walks in Fairhaven are all within a ½ hour drive.

But bring everything with you because you’ll never want to leave. Located directly on the beach of Lummi Bay where the the view is ever changing with the tides. You’ll love watching the birds and shore life in the morning sun from the deck where a picnic table and comfortable cushioned Adirondack chairs await. Spend some time in one of the two kayaks or stand up paddleboards that can be launched from the beach at high tide. Or stroll to the beach on the southern tip of the Shores then come back and enjoy happy hour on the lawn overlooking the bay. Lastly, enjoy dinner on the deck in the cool of the evening and time around the firepit at night.

Inside, enjoy the well-appointed kitchen with island, large reclaimed wood dining table and comfy couches. The expansive views from the great room with vaulted ceilings frame Mt. Baker and are simply stunning. Play a game, do a puzzle, read a book or just sit and watch the water. Its mesmerizing.

The three bedrooms each have quality, comfortable queen size beds with luxury hotel-style cotton sheets. The master bathroom has a shower and the main bathroom a tub/shower combo. Fresh towels are provided.

Beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, this cabin offers you everything you’ll need for a perfect vacation. Our best effort is made to sanitize high touch areas including kitchen, bathrooms and fixtures which are disinfected against the spread of Covid 19 during cleaning. However, Covid 19 is highly contagious and we can not provide a guarantee against our guests contracting it at our property. Please do not come to the property if you are at all unwell prior to your booking.

Note: Paddleboards, kayaks, picnic table and bbq are stored and not accessible from November 1 to April 1.

This is our second time coming to this lovely property. We love the view, the tide going in and out, and the peacefulness of it all. The house is super clean, the decor beautiful, and the kitchen well equipped. There are great places to walk, and lots of God's creation to enjoy. I highly recommend this beach house!

LOVED this vacation!! This was the first time our family has been to Washington state and what a beautiful state! The VRBO rental home was fully equipped, beautifully decorated and a great location. Far away from town but close enough to get to state parks and stores.

We are a family of four and came here for a relaxing weekend getaway. The property was very clean, had everything we could possibly need and is just steps from the water with wonderful wildlife viewing. We saw so many varieties of birds, a seal and enjoyed listening to fish jumping. It's a short drive from Bellingham. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Five stars from us, thank you.

A very charming home. Myself & the Aunts came for my daughter’s baby shower. The night after the shower our first grand baby was born three weeks early. Colleen was so accommodating in extending my stay. We all loved this place . Well stocked with everything we needed. The sun pouring through the windows in the morning as you overlook the ocean is incredible. Highly recommend this lovely place.

This was our second time staying at this wonderful home. We have family in Sandy Point, and this home makes it easy for us to stay and visit with them. Cozy, clean and fully stocked with all the kitchen gadgets your could need. The owner is exceptional with communication and very accommodating to us, which was greatly appreciated. We hope to come back again next year.

A lovely home, comfortable and perfect for families and friends. We came up to Whatcom County for a family wedding and wished we could have stayed longer. Kitchen is super well supplied with utensils and a few basic staples, and there were plenty of board games, books and puzzles. We had to connect with the owner about some questions we had, and she was extremely responsive. Thanks for a great stay!

This was the perfect home for our family of all ages. The house is very spacious and well appointed on a lovely stretch of beach. Our grandchildren were delighted with all of the toys and the hidden play room. The adults in our group appreciated the use of the available kayak and paddle board. (We also brought several more). Even a bundle of firewood and s’more makings were provided! Definitely a great beach getaway!

The place is so relaxing. High ceilings with views of the water. Beautiful porch in back to watch the water rides and the shore birds Didn’t get a chance to use the paddle boards and kayaks but it was so great to have the option Three rooms are nice. Could use a bit more closet space (left some extra hangers we bought). But knowing that it was just lovely. Would highly recommend.

Pretty decor, comfortable beds, and well stocked home with beautiful water view. Kitchen is extremely well stocked with all the kitchen pans and tools needed for cooking any meal. Home has games, books, and extra blankets. Lots of seating options in kitchen and living room. Very clean. Bonus is access to the kayaks on site to enjoy the water and also several nice neighborhood walk options. We all 3 agreed this was a great place.!!
