"We stayed in the master suite which had a king size bedand two other sofa beds within the main room. Bathroom had a bath/shower combo and a seperate shower, 2 sinks, and a toilet in a adjourning room. TV with basic cable and above the ground floor so did need to carry luggage up stairs. A private terrace was available and also got a lot of sunshine through the day for sunbathing. Overall experience was great. "The hotel was like a hidden gem, the staff were really welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for our family. A very nice beautiful location with easy access to water parks, beaches and historical/culture interest staff are very knowledgeable about what’s on in the area. Very much recommend the hotel organising a boat trip as the caves are absolutely stunning. Our family had a great holiday and will be booking to go again. We’ll definitely book again."

"Stayed for one night, the apartment was comfortable. The one downside to checking in was the timing was quite late at 5pm. however as it’s was only one night, and the complex is huge, I tried to walk to reception twice in the space of 90 minutes upon checking into my room and became completely lost. As a solo traveller, being right at the top of the hill in the back end of nowhere, I didn’t feel the safest throughout the night. "A great variety of food and places to eat. Staff could not be more helpful. Very safe for children and the swimming pools were always busy. I loved the transport into town every half an hour, very handy for the beach or the shops. I would definitely recommend!"

Hotel Califórnia Urban Beach – Adults only

"We fully enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal, the staff all very friendly and accommodating. Location was so convenient, you can come right out onto the street and there’s a convenience store steps from the entrance! The gym is quite minimal, so we went to the Marina du Albufeira and got a week’s pass at the Luxury Fitness there. The pillows are a bit on the small/soft side, but I’m sure they would have given us extras had we asked (we were always just so tired when we got back to the room!) We also found the room quite soundproof, despite being so close to the busy street and pool. "

"Absolutely beautiful property. Amazing views of the city!I was amazed how it was so perfectly annexed in the old city of faro, yet the property was so modern and relaxing. The spa room was amazing, and the drinks from the bar were as well. I will definitely stay here again if visiting Portugal, it's a nice way to step foot into what the South of Portugal has to offer. The staff are extremely nice and easy to engage in genuine conversation."

"Hotel is located near the major entertainment streets around the beach The hotel has plenty of swimming pool/deck area for sunbathing. Also large number of chairs and umbrellas down at the beach There's a small but well equipped gym. Good WiFi everywhere. The casino has lots of slot machines, roulette and blackjack tables. My wife liked the breakfast, but for me the scrambled eggs were very watery (minor detail)"
