This place has 4 apartment. One with a hugr window is noisy. Every other one are quiet. 2 has one tiny window and only one room has no window and no bathroom inside the room. Very dark in the morning and personnaly I like it. Since people happened to be quiet I sleep well in the morning. They have an ok roof top. It is in the center of the old town. I did wash the floor, since it's obviously not been done for many many weeks. Some smell from drain in my bathroom. They were really nice to lend my a portable heater, it saved my life, but the same person forgot to bring me a lamp, take out the broken pin in the electric socket, so I had to do it myself and I searched for a lamp myself.

Quiet Cheap Centre of Medina. Taxi will take you to a place known as the Blue Gate and you walk the rest. Safe 19 mins walk

In the hustle & bustle of the medina so difficult to find 1st time visit but host was helpful coming to meet us

Inexpensive for a reason

The reason this place is so cheap is because the owner will try to upsell you on various services (e.g. airport transportation, medina tours, meals, etc.) which are all overpriced. The hotel is located in the old medina and is decent for the price but it's also very small and not a great place for long stays.

Good location off the main street (pedestrian) In the Medina,"ancient old town"; 8+ minute walk from the Medina gate, this is a small "Dar" a house-like hostal to sleep-no front desk versus a a larger "Riad" with courtyard, trees etc. (I learned the difference later) I had the cheap single economy room with hard bed combined toilet/shower (book the double room not single), however the double rooms are nicer and softer beds, better bath/shower.Offsite manager speaks English,and a few minutes after you arrive he arrives you have mint tea and signs you in, after that you message via Hotels.com. The housekeeper speaks Arabic-used my phone to translate as needed.
Inside the entrance door you immediately have the steps up to the salon area with couches and tables to sit for tea. Watch your head-up/down the stairs.
Entrance door 5 meters off the main pedestrian street in Medina, (Medina no cars so you walk 8-10 minutes from the gate.)

Property was in the centre of the medina and easy to find. Room was a good size and had hot water and a good shower. Heater provided for the cold nights. Rooftop terrace was also nice.

Wenn man keine großen Ansprüche stellt, ist das Dar Chourouk durchaus akzeptabel.Man sollte jedoch nicht in der kalten Jahreszeit anreisen, da das gesamte Haus (5 Zimmer, Aufenthaltsraum usw.) nur von 2 (in Worten zwei) Klimaanlagen beheizt wird. Man muss also das Haus verlassen, um nicht zu frieren. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und macht daher verschiedene Mängel wett.
