"Nice wide hall and stairs, Room was very comfortable with a great size bathroom, We had tea in the restaurant there and it was very very good, We had a drink in the bar after on a Friday night and it was good only 2 other people in the bar so talked together, Great place to stay, owner's where very friendly and welcoming."

Good Fish and Chip shop around the corner (had the Haddock with chips and curry which was delicious and a good portion size) and a sandwich bar that serves breakfast items too (bacon butties recommended). Really good bakers across the road with numerous choices. Close to Montrose town centre and beach and on the way in from Dundee and the North. Benefit of Netflix on site and free WiFi. "The hotel hotel was nice, the room was more than adequate and the staff were great, my only complaint was it was close to a bar/club and you could hear people shouting and laughing on the street and the faint thump of music."
