The meals were healthy, delicious, and varied - prepared by cheerful and skilled cooks in the onsite kitchen, and served in a comfortable and nicely decorated dining hall overlooking the grounds and forest. I highly recommend booking a tour of the grounds to learn more about the history of the garden and the habitat conservation efforts underway in the area. Our tour guide, Jason, shared expert bird and plant identification information, as well as fascinating descriptions of the ecological interactions among some of the species in this premontane forest. The staff were super friendly, and the grounds were peaceful and lovely. Nearby San Vito was also fun to explore, as it is not a "touristy" place, but a regular town with an interesting history. "
