"A lovely unique room and great service made this an ideal stop overnight on my way east. Recommended. Only complaint was poor wi-fi in the room. View of fields/horses in the morning was a bonus. "

"The night we endured was terrible, it smelt of faeces all night, loads of people coming in and out shouting, it sounded like someone tried getting in our door around midnight, the shower was contaminated, I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a case of legionella within the water, the bed was very uncomfortable and didn’t feel secure, the sink had no plug, and Unknown marks left on walls, 1/10 would not recommend "

"Perfect night stay at Harlestone retreat, very clean room with tea and coffee available the bed was so comfortable i slept all night and needed an alarm to wake me up. I will be staying again for sure. It would be nice if they could leave a bowl of fruit or a drink as a welcome pack ( even if it costed me more money ) It was nice to relax in front of a big TV with some great films to choose from. Very clean shower and toilet. Overall it was just what i needed. "

"Lovevly night away! Hosts made it so easy and hassle free. Room was very clean, had a peaceful nights sleep! Had dinner down the road in a pub called the wheatsheaf! Which was very nice! Rutland water is only a 15min drive! Thanks again to the host! "

"Stayed her during hot weather, the outside space was amazing, plenty of seating areas and great for dining out. Fabulous BBQ to use also. Carl was a very good host, met us at the property and explained many things, gave good suggestions for eating out etc. Lovely big lounge area also."

"Small but cosy annex. Kettle, mugs, tea, coffee etc provided. Bed comfortable. Only useful for short stays as no kitchen facilities but plenty of pubs and eating places a short trip away. We stayed for 4 nights and managed with no problems. Would recommend."

Clean, aircon and comfortable

"Hotel was quiet and clean - staff were friendly and always smiled and acknowledged you whenever you went past. Love the aircon - makes a big difference to me. A couple of suggestions - instructions for TV i.e. it was difficult to just find normal TV channels A room service menue with prices. There was a card for breakfast in your room but no prices The QR code for room service only displays snacks and... 3 other items"
