Olperer Huette is a mountain cabin with a spectacular view of some 700 meters over Schlegeisspeicher dam lake. It is located in 2.388 meters altitude on the south side of Tuxer Kamm range which is parallel to the main Zillertal range on the border of Austria and Italy (in the picture it is the range in the background covered with low clouds). The hut offers some 70 beds to tourists who can access it either from the lake bellow or the neighbouring huts. Olperer hut was built in 1881 and it was totally reconstructed to its modern look in 2007. It is also one of the huts on the famous trekking routes called Berliner Hoehenweg or Peter Habeler Runde.

"Pros: Mooi huis, met een leuke sfeer, genoeg ruimte. Veel spullen om te koken aanwezig. Gastvrije eigenaresse die ons alles uitlegde over de traplift. Cons: Goed om te weten als er iemand in een rolstoel zit: die kan wel zelfstandig naar buiten, maar als hij/zij alleen is niet ook zelfstandig naar binnen omdat de automatische deur dichtvalt en alleen te openen is met een vingerafdruk van de eigenaren. Andere optie is met een knopje boven de deur de stand op openhouden zetten, maar daar kan je...

Vacation Home in Reith im Alpachtal

"Pros: Die Geschichte dieses aussergewöhnlichen Hauses kommt sehr gut rüber.Es war sehr gut zu erreichen und die Lage ist fast perfekt.Wanderungen entlang des Inns und Waldwege oder mit Auto sehr gut zu erreichende "Sehenswürdigkeiten" (gilt eigentlich für die gesamte Umgebung ).Super netter Empfang und Support,dafür nochmals Vielen Dank ;) Cons: Anfangs hatten wir Bedenken,wegen der entlang laufenden Straße und den Kirchenglocken ab 6 Uhr früh. Aber man konnte es doch recht gut ausblenden..die...
