An American white pelican, one of the biggest birds you can observe in North America with its nine-foot wingspan, comes home to roost at 8:45 pm on the longest day of the year at St. Vrain State Park in Longmont, Colorado. Pelicans breed every summer on this inland prairie reservoir with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. A life of traveling and working via motorcoach full-time allows us to discover such wonders.

"From the greeting at the front desk to the Nespresso machine in the room. What’s not to like? Fairly priced and spacious quarters. We loved it because it was the center from everything we wanted to visit - 15 min drive to Boulder and 15 min drive to the Denver Broncos stadium. With an Alamo drafthouse next door to a Bowlero just up the street. We’ll be back"
