The front desk person named Justin helped to make this experience a no star to a four stars for customer service. Thank you for advocating for me with the motel owners. I received one night reimbursement on a two night stay. I did not end up staying either night as the weekend was the coldest in recent history and the small desk heater did not do the job.
I booked an “ocean view” room that seemed (from online photos) to be overlooking the ocean with a balcony. I walked into a first floor unit overlooking the road and sand dunes. When I called the office they said the top floor room has already been booked.
This trip taught me the difference between “ocean front” and “ocean view”.
I do appreciate the reimbursement of at least one night. The location of this motel is quaint and as “Old Florida” as one can get nowadays. I really do hate to see these types of places disappear because of lack of upkeep and/or newer hotels coming into town. The customer service will have to be able to compete and for my experience, the owners did accommodate, so, Thank You.
