  • The Country Mountain Getaway is nestled on the backside of the San Francisco Peaks in Northern Arizona, just 10 minutes from beautiful Flagstaff, AZ. Enjoy all the amazing trails, mountain life, and ATV adventures just minutes from the front door! Sunset Crater, Lockett Meadow, Cinder Hills, and the Lava tubes to name just a few. Day trips to Lake Powell, Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Snowbowl ski area as well! The home has all the amenities with a fully fenced yard!

    *We do ask that you crate your animals if left at the house unattended. This is due to past guest destruction of the property when left alone.

Our summer visit was exceptional. We were greeted with fresh eggs, and the home offered stunning mountain views and a peaceful setting. The location is ideal for hiking, sightseeing, and exploring nearby national parks. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the outdoor area provided comfortable seating with natural shade — perfect for relaxing. The neighborhood is walkable and pleasant, and the host’s quick communication, especially during a storm when the electricity went out, was truly appreciated. We would gladly stay again.

Great spot to experience Flagstaff

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was so cute and had everything we needed! And it was conveniently located to all that we wanted to see and do while we were in town!

Enjoyable base camp

Accomodations were nice and loved the relatively quiet location compared to others we’ve stayed in Flagstaff. The house was well appointed, comfortable, and while on outskirts of Flagstaff, still really easy to get around and visit our daughter at NAU, go to restaurants, and go on hikes. Would definitely stay again…

Quiet Escape

Loved our stay in this charming home. The size and amenities perfectly fitted our needs. The mountain views are wonderful. So nice to be able to bring our dog with us. We will come back and stay again.

Cozy property

This home is really cute and located perfectly for a hunting cabin or if you are planning on doing trips to the Grand Canyon. We aren't city people, so we enjoyed the rural neighborhood and dark skies. It's very clean and has all of the amenities.

Family Getaway

Shauna’s place is just what we needed. Our pups loved everything about our weekend home. My wife, daughter, and I felt comfortable letting our fur babies in the yard. Beautiful home with modern updates. Will be back!

Great Little House

I enjoyed my stay tremendously at this comfortable little house. It was very clean, well stocked with everything you might need, and loved the location north of Flagstaff with a great view of the mountains, especially since they were snow covered. I will certainly return again in the near future. A couple of minor things it needs: 1) the kitchen faucet handle needs repair. It's loose. 2) need a new TV remote. The button (enter) is not functioning properly. Everything else was perfect !!

Exceptional 5-Day Stay in Flagstaff with Furry Friends

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending 5 days at this incredible VRBO property in Flagstaff, Arizona. The accommodations and furnishings were exactly as described, and our puppies had an absolute blast during our stay. The house had ample space for the two of us and pups. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy for us to prepare meals and enjoy them together. The outdoor spaces, including the front yard and fire pit, were wonderful. One of the highlights for our puppies was the easy access many local trails. They loved exploring the trails and dog parks in Flagstaff and Sedona. The fenced-in yard also gave them a safe space to play and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The location of the property was ideal, with downtown Flagstaff and its abundance of restaurants, shops, and attractions just minutes away. We also took advantage of the easy access to hiking trails and day trips to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Williams.

Lovely winter getaway

My mom and I booked this for a winter getaway and a base to visit the Grand Canyon. We are Phoenicians but know flagstaff. The place was nice, clean, convenient and safe. The only problems were the microwave did not work and I filtered in my search for places with a hot tub and this place appeared in my results and a hot tub was listed in the amenities section. But there was no hot tub. The owner/neighbor was still cleaning when we arrived…but only a few moments after check in time did we have to wait for her to finish. She was nice. The rental is on property with the owners so if you want total privacy they did respect of but I felt they were close. And of course we heard the dogs and the roosters which we didn’t mind but just giving feedback. I would rent it again even though there were some disappointments I felt it was clean, safe and convenient.

The house was absolutely wonderful! It was perfect for our snowboarding trip and had just enough space. It was decorated for Christmas and felt so homey for the time we were there! Has all the amenities you could need and a perfect size.

The property was wonderful, had a great location and met all our needs. Most importantly all the house systems worked flawlessly, from the hot water to the heating and cooling units. The neighborhood is very quiet which was another plus. The owner provided ample supplies and everything was clean upon our arrival. Would highly recommend this property when in the Flagstaff area.
