"I don’t like to write a bad reviews for any business that’s why I put 5 starts, but obviously it is not a 5 start review. Everything was ok, staff was nice to me, the only problem is a smell, very bad smell, I asked to change the room and staff denied to change the room and told me there is no room available, but then I showed a mold on a sealing and that small was obviously from that mold, I couldn’t describe how bad was that smell. And only after that they found the room for me, very clean, no smell, and I was satisfied and happy. It’s only because I showed the mold and its very serious health/safety violation they don’t want to deal with Belgium health department "

"We had a fabulous stay at the Carlton Hotel. The staff and the owner were friendly, easy going and very helpful. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were a delight. We'd have no hesitation going back to the Carlton if the opportunity arose."

"If you want to be accused of smoking when you don't smoke, so the hotel can steal 250 Euros from you AFTER you have left, then by all means stay at this place. Utter thieves."

"I do not drink but it appeared to be well stocked. I did not partake of the breakfast but appeared to be well spread. The hotel was clean and it was very convenient to shops, and restaurants and the train station for walking. I would stay again."

"Clean, modern bright hotel Very well equipped, great location. Female receptionist upon arrival and departure was efficient and friendly, in a business like way. The breakfast staff member was also pleasant. On Saturday afternoon upon returning to the hotel after being out all day, I had popped down to the restaurant to request some milk for the tea and coffee in our room... The woman in the restaurant was quite rude and barked at me that she'd have to charge me for milk.. I hadn't realised there were sachets containing dried milk in the room as the sachets looked like sugar. Once this had been established I was happy to use these. That small encounter soured the experience of customer service. The staff member making me feel like I was requesting something for free that I wasn't entitled to! Not very hospitable service on that front!"
