We were very pleased with our stay at Duomo Prestige. The location is conveniently located to many popular sites. Having a patio for outside entertainment is an added bonus. The apartment to close enough to the Duomo to hear the bells ringing throughout the day adding to the charm of the location. If you don't mind climbing stairs, this is the perfect place to stay.
We loved our stay here- the apartment is located right in city center with proximity to everything. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed, beautiful views and AC!! Sure there is a number of stairs to access the apartment, but you’ll be well-fueled with gelato so no problem!
Everything was as expected, apartment was clean and nice. Location is fantastic! There are some steps to get up, but we had no issues with that.
Communication with host was good.
This was a great flat and I would definitely stay here again. You can see the Duomo out the window (which is about two-three blocks away). It was clean and nice, and would have been great for a longer stay. It's less than five minutes walk from everything, and the five story walk up was charming and great exercise.
Great 3 days in Florence. The appartment was beautiful and location could not be better.
Yes there are a bunch of stairs to climb but it does not take away from the apartment. We did hear a bit of noise from the street down below, but nothing too bothersome.
Would definitely stay again.
The property is clean, spacious, and was comfortable for the three of us. Rooms are good size, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is a bit small and okay, but challenging if planning to do a lot of cooking. Also, it was not stocked with anything (e.g. coffee filters, cream/sugar, salt/pepper), so be prepared to bring everything you may need. Also, it is on the sixth floor with no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of heavy luggage. But, it is one of the few places with an outdoor/rooftop patio, which was awesome. All in all, a great place right in the Center.
Check In: Very easy. Our host was responsive in the days leading up to our arrival and met us at the apartment. We had support throughout our stay.
Location: This was our first time in Florence and the location was great for our initial visit, putting us in the city center near major sites and short walk to some amazing restaurants across the river. For a future visit, we'll likely stay somewhere a little off the beaten path but this was good for first timers. One caution: the street noise continued for us into late hours. The apartment is high up so it was somewhat muted but still noticeable.
Other notes: The outside terrace is a nice spot for some downtime and we spent evenings out there playing cards. It's a relaxing space. The wifi worked great. One bedroom air conditioner worked well but the other was a little spotty (and when working it does a good job muting the street noise).
Overall, it was a positive stay.
The apartment was perfect for what we needed. Clean, AC worked well, good water pressure. Great location.
Two notes:
1) VRBO address is not accurate but is close to the actual location, which was sent day before check in.
2) We stayed in the top unit, 5 stories up. It’s a long haul with heavy luggage.
The apartment was amazing! Modern and clean in the heart of Old Florence. Awesome location. We didn't know it was 97 stairs up to the "penthouse" apartment before we arrived but we managed.
Lovely apartment in a great location - really enjoyed using the terrace. Apartment was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. We really liked being on the top floor but there are quite a few stairs.

Description of property did not tell you that there is no elevator and a 97 step hike to apartment. Once in apartment it is a nice place. We had to wait for concierge to check in. Only about 10 minutes but it was 95 degrees outside. Location is awesome. So close to everything.
My family and I were very pleased with our stay. The communication preceding the trip was very helpful as we were able to prepare adequately. Our questions were answered within a timely manner and we were provided with the check-in details ahead of time. Very accommodating as our flight was delayed causing us to get in later than originally planned. The location is ideal; near to all the sights, many food options and great shopping. Also close to the tram that takes you directly to and from the airport. Our only challenge was the stairs. Narrow and a lot of them. Be prepared to get your workout in. In all though, we were very pleased with our stay.
First of all, this apartment could not be in a more perfect location! You are STEPS away from the Duomo, great shopping, gelato, restaurants and other sites.
The two downsides that we found were the stairs and the lack of kitchen supplies.
The apartment is on the top floor, which gives you gorgeous views and a lovely outdoor patio, but hiking up those stairs is a challenge.
The kitchen has the basic pots pans, dishes and silverware/cooking utensils. We like to make at least one meal a day in the apartment so having salt and pepper, olive oil, paper towels, etc on hand is helpful.
Neither of these issues was a deal breaker for us, the positives of the apartment far outweigh the minor negatives.

The apartment was Just Ok
It was clean and the location was great, but that’s about it.
The pictures are much better than real life. No welcome letter to explain anything, such as internet, cooking appliance, or heating/air. Did not use the kitchen because nothing looked safe to use as far as sterile pots and pans or the tea kettle. Beware, only one towel per person per week, period! I asked the host about it and his only response was “one per guest”. That was our only communication. I spoke with him more often before we ever arrived, only because he was trying to get me to double pay for the reservation. Honestly, if the rental was even on the first floor, I would still rate it as “just ok” and would keep searching for another place.
Because it is in a great location, expect lots of street noise, and on the weekends it will last till around 3:30 in the morning. We booked for 7 nights and left on the 3rd.
First of all, the apartment has a wonderful location - right next to the Duomo and walking distance to major attractions. It is clean and cozy, and the roof terrace in the middle of the rooftops adds to the quaint Italian experience. Two queen beds and one foldout queen sofa bed could accommodate up to 6 people. Located on a busy shopping street, it's a shoppers paradise at your doorstep. The noise from the street below continues into the night, but can be easily shut out by the bedroom windows. The blackout curtains are a nice touch if you wanted to sleep in.However, the trek of 90 steps up to the apartment can be daunting, especially if you have heavy luggage. There were a few minor inconveniences in the apartment for a family stay that could have been easily rectified - no toilet roll holder, no towel rack or hooks, no shelf/caddy for shampoo and soap, no coffee or basic condiments, no clothes detergent, and the washing machine was oddly installed so that you could not pour detergent in the pullout but had to place it directly in the drum. We finally found a small clothes rack on the terrace. The water in the shower drained very slowly so we had to take care not to let the water flow out of the shower area. These issues are not deal breakers, but added to the inconveniences for a family of 5.Overall, clean and comfortable, but the inconveniences caused some frustration. If the above issues are addressed, it would make for a much more comfortable and pleasant stay.
