The hotel is very old, which, in our opinion added to its charm. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Centrally located hotel

At arrival we were met by a very helpful receptionist. The hotel is old and a bit worn, but quite okay. We got a small room with a balcony as per my wife's wishes. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Location was very good. 5-6 minutes from the train station and a litt of the "must see" things were in walking distance. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Wonderful Stay, Excellent Service and Comfort in the Heart of Florence Our stay at Hotel San Giorgio was truly exceptional from start to finish. The professionalism and kindness of the staff made all the difference—they were attentive and efficient. The location is absolutely perfect: just steps from Santa Maria Novella station and within easy walking distance to all of Florence’s iconic landmarks, charming streets, and excellent dining. One of the unexpected highlights was the bath tub in my room—a rare luxury in many European hotels. After long days exploring the city, it was such a joy to unwind and relax in comfort. Everything was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, making this hotel a wonderful home base in Florence. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to both leisure and business travelers.

Convenient for access to city and railway/tram. Excellent value with 24 hr front desk. We had a very early flight and stored our luggage while exploring. Came back and chilled in their lounge until we needed to take the tram at 1:30 am. Sadly the airport was closed and reopened at 4 am. Oh well that’s travel, lol. Good value and would stay again, but we are budget travellers. Not posh but did the job well.

Location was perfect , the trolley practically dropped me off at the front door, the trolley from the airport no less. Well, the hotel was a typical old hotel, did have a charming foyer and seating area and the room is pretty much only for sleeping, small and spartan. And the railroad station was a stones throw away, couldn't be any better

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would, the hotel is basic and that’s fine. It’s not the aged room and bathroom that’s the problem. The staff when I checked in was extremely rude, like an uncomfortable amount of rude and bother d by you. When I checked in they were very rude. I asked what the wifi was because the guy never told me and he says loudly and very sassy “it’s right infront of your face”. Like I’m supposed to know it was on the wall beside me in a small picture frame. I met with a friend here and we came to the hotel to drop off my stuff, and he was yelling at me and then her that she couldn’t stay here…I was dropping off my stuff, she was Italian and told him she was a friend and not staying, and he kept yelling. He was a P.O.S. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to someone I hated, stay somewhere else, everywhere I’ve stayed in Italy the staff has been incredibly friendly, this place makes you feel like a problem just for existing. Terrible place.

O hotel é antigo, porém bem localizado a poucos metros da estação e bem no centrinho de lojas e restaurantes. O café é simples, nada de pão de queijo, coisas quentes como ovos mexidos e salsicha, o básico mesmo, todo dia o mesmo tipo de bolo e pão. Tem elevador! Chuveiro quente e forte, limpeza impecável e rápida. O atendimento da recepção poderia ser mais amigável, O senhor que nos atendeu foi meio ríspido. Mais No geral recomendo.

Hotel con excelente ubicación y personal muy agradable, edificio antiguo que necesita reforma y mejorar el aire acondicionado para las altas temperaturas en verano. No tiene minibar en la habitación. La cama amplia y comoda, las toallas de ducha normales pero el resto eran paños. El desayuno muy poco variado. Los deficits los compensan con su amabilidad y excelente ubicación.
