Excellent Hotel Option in Firenze

The hotel is very good, excellent location, you can walk to any interesting location very quickly. Amazing service and very good breakfast. If you go by car, you better call the hotel because instructions to reach the hotel are not easy and not a simple GPS route.

The location for this hotel can't be beat. Beautiful hotel within walking distance of all the shops, tourist sites, best restaurants, etc. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Only drawback is the lobby has an extremely strong floral perfume smell. Couldn't get out of the lobby fast enough to avoid a horrible headache.

First time for us at NH Porta Rossa. I can tell you’ve will not stay anywhere else in the future and we have stayed some very nice hotels in that area. The hotel is as grand and historical as Florence itself The staff is so very willing to help you with anything you may need. My sister in law has a medical condition and she needed a special walker. They called numerous medical professionals and finally found one for us. The rooms are outstanding and the location is the best. 5 minute walk to the duomo , the ponte vechio , republica square , the uffizzi and so much more

A Truly Exceptional Stay at NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. The location could not be better. It's perfectly central and walkable to all the beautiful sights, shopping, and incredible restaurants in Florence. The staff were outstanding. From the front desk to the bellmen who handled our luggage, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. They called cabs whenever we needed, offered excellent local recommendations, and always greeted us with warmth. A special mention goes to Chiara at the front desk, who was the cherry on top. She was professional, welcoming, and simply excellent in every way. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully kept. The housekeeping staff maintained everything with care and attention to detail. The food was delicious, the music in the lobby set a wonderful atmosphere, and the overall cleanliness and elegance of the hotel made our stay unforgettable. We truly loved everything about this hotel. Gorgeous, well-run, and filled with a team that makes you feel cared for. I cannot wait to return to Florence and when I do, it will absolutely be to NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa.

History and hospitality in the heart of Florence!

Our stay at NH Collection Porta Rossa was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Florence — just steps away from major landmarks, shops, and restaurants. You can truly walk everywhere! The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. We also had dinner at the Porta Rossa Bistrot — a charming, intimate space with just a few tables, perfect for a romantic evening, a quiet family dinner, or a business meal in a refined setting. A special thank you to Francesca, who made our experience even more memorable. When choosing this hotel, keep in mind that the building is said to be the oldest hotel in Italy, dating back centuries. Still, the rooms are beautifully maintained and offer all the modern comforts you’d expect. If you’re arriving by car, be aware that Florence has strict traffic restrictions (ZTL), so it’s essential to plan ahead to avoid fines. The hotel was extremely helpful in guiding us through the process and securing a space at a nearby garage (just behind the building). Spots are limited, so I highly recommend booking in advance and relying on the hotel’s assistance with ZTL registration. In short, Porta Rossa is a gem — rich in history, exceptionally well-run, and ideally located. We would absolutely stay here again!
