We are continually updating and improving this home to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Guests often comment on how clean and fresh this lovely vacation home is. Wonderful Atlantic ocean views, comfortable beds and bedding, a well stocked kitchen, high speed internet and Comcast cable TV all enhance your indoor experience. Be sure to check out the original artwork collection displayed throughout the cottage. Enjoy sitting around the fireplace on a chilly night. Spend your days on the partially covered deck watching the waves or take the private boardwalk over to the beach. If you are looking for a Folly Cottage filled with good vibrations, fond memories and an abundance of charm then Road Ends is the place for you. We allow 1 dog per reservation. Wonderful Location!

The location was just as described. Very remote, very quiet, have your own access to the beach. Literally see the beach from the living room. Beds were comfortable and all appliances were in working condition. The view is amazing!Can hear the ocean from your bed at night.

Spectacular!

This was our first visit to Folly Beach and The Road Ends Here was perfect for us. It was very clean, well equipped, and had such a comfortable bed that I wish we could have one of our own. Check in and communication was very smooth. We definitely want to come back and stay at this rental with it's huge deck and amazing view!

Nice quiet spot at the on a dead end street with privacy and exquisite ocean views.

I always look at Cleanliness first because I think it tells a lot about the rest of the property. This house was no acceptation. Super-clean, bright, perfect location, great layout and as really as about private as you can get on Folly. Excellent trip.

Perfect charming beach house for us and our dogs

We love to stay ON the beach when we vacation, and this was one of the top rentals we've ever had. House was immaculate, and had every kitchen gadget, etc. you might need, including plastic wrap and aluminum foil which was super nice. 20 minute easy drive to Charleston;waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean were the best part of our vacation.

We just wrapped up another amazing week at Road Ends Here, our second trip to this lovely home. We brought our dog Gatsby, who lit up when she walked in the house and saw the deck and ocean. This has become a home away from home and we had everything we needed to relax, from comfortable bedding/furniture to a complete kitchen, gated deck for the dog, and puzzles and Comcast TV to keep us entertained when it rained. It's so nice to stay in a home where every possible need is addressed. Dianne and Michael even included blankets and bowls for the dog! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Divine and perfect and unbelievable spot

The linens smelled sooo good, the home was spotless, no need for anything...just like home, (needed scissors and there they were!), the fireplace came on automatically!!! The ambiance of this home was so cozy and quite comfortable! What a cute and quaint old home for sure! I could live here easily! The porch was protecting us from the wind! How nice to read in the warmth of cool days! The beds were like sleeping on a cloud and all the different bed pillows.! Just pick the pillow that fits you! The best VRBO I’ve ever stayed in! Even had gates on the porch to keep our dogs in! And the hose to clean our feet! Someone took a lot of thought into making this home sooo comfortable. Very pleased!

Idyllic beach bungalow

Perfect for a long weekend getaway in the middle of the winter. The house was SPOTLESS and stylishly designed. Every amenity was considered - making it feel comfortable as soon as you walked in the door. Beach views and access was incredible! Even in February we were able to leave the doors open to hear the waves during the day & light the fireplace in the evenings to amplify the "cozy factor" of the house. There were only 2 of us staying on this trip, but we can certainly see visiting again with a few friends - 3 nice-sized bedrooms & 2 full baths. Dianne was super helpful as they were potentially going to be dredging the beach in front of the house while we were there. She kept us up-to-date on the status of the beach renourishment and offered 2 viable alternatives in the event we were not satisfied. In the end, the dredging was postponed and we didn't have to deal with this issue, but her customer service was exemplary.

beach perfection

spent a week here with a friend and we both absolutely loved the house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. the house is clean, comfortable, spacious, charming, and exactly as described - it really does have pretty much everything you need. one thing to note that’s not listed in the description is that the owners have an “A/C policy,” which prohibits renters from lowering the house temperature below 72 in the summer months. our stay was during spring, but had we been staying in summer, this would have been a dealbreaker for us. obviously this is a matter of personal preference, but it’s one that people tend to have strong feelings about. it would be a good idea to state it up front so folks aren’t surprised upon arrival.

Folly Beach Gem

We absolutely loved the quaint cottage beach vibe of this beach house. I am from NC and have been coming to Folly Beach for years. I’ve stayed at numerous types of properties on the island. We wanted something cozy with our two kids that had beach front access. My kids loved the decorative sinks in their bathroom and their rooms. There is so much charm with all of the built ins throughout the house. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we needed for a week. My husband is a fabulous cook and we like enjoying meals in a lot with two younger kids and the kitchen was fully stocked. I loved that the laundry was upstairs and easily accessible. My kids loved the direct access of the beach and enjoyed seashell finding and exploring through the day. I highly recommend this for an intimate family vacation that has instant access to restaurants, markets, and shops! We rented a golf cart to use to drive around the island from the house and the whole family loved it! We’ll be back!

Perfect location

House was very clean, manager was very responsive when we had a small issue with the washing machine. The house was built in the 1930s and we appreciated the historic charm. Parking is easy, house is very private. Deck is very nice with a gate so your dogs can be outside, but kept off the beach.

Beautiful beach house
