"Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. "Great location, short walk to the beach and the main town centre. Staff were great and there’s a super convenient luggage storage option for after you’ve checked out. Great place to base yourself if you’re spending most of your time out and about Sitges and Barcelona."

"The hotel was under construction and the lobby was a mess. Also, the elevators were not working. The room was clean but the A/C never worked. This hotel was a bit disappointing, the only good thing I can say is that the breakfast staff was great."

"When we arrived in the room it looked really nice, however one thing that we noticed was that the room was not clean. The bed and sheets were, but I could see that it was not swept properly and there was a lot of hair and dust in the bathroom. Fortunately when we communicated this with the night staff they did everything they could to accommodate us with a different room but they were fully booked.
