We are a younger couple and absolutely loved it. Great selection of thermal baths and areas to relax. Beach is 5 min walk, lots of quality sea food restaurants walking distance. Would definitely go again.

a lovely hotel with easy access to the beach. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, our room was clean and the air conditioning was much needed. We enjoyed the breakfast and making use of the three swimming pools. would recommend!

We were one of the rooms which was away from the main hotel. The room was clean a bit dated by ok. Very good value. The staff were nice a friendly. The hotel is a nice place to relax. The bus stops outside the hotel and the islands bus service is amazing €14 for a weeks ticket and buses run every 15 minutes even at night.

Excellent stay. This hotel consists of multiple buildings, in the area, so if you want to stay right next to the pool/breakfast area, you might want to call and ask which rooms offer that. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, the pools were lovely, and the beach shuttle was helpful. You can walk to the beach, but it's steep since Sorriso is at the top of a cliff (giving it excellent views). There are lots of shops nearby if you want to pick up some groceries, sunscreen, or souvenirs. Staff spoke good English and were helpful arranging taxis, providing recommendations, etc. Would definitely go back!

Stayed in the annex which was less than a 2 minute walk from the main property. When we arrived, the staff were very friendly and helpful in helping us order taxis and gave great suggestions. The thermal pool was very relaxing and had a full bar outside to enjoy a drink while relaxing

Enjoyed our stay at Sorriso, staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool area is lovely. We stayed in the annex building and found the room to be a little outdated, however, this seems to be relatively common for Ischia. Would recommend to others looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Forio.

Basic hotel with nice thermal pools.

We came to the hotel mainly because of the thermal pools (Which was the only one in Ischia in this season- November). The pools were great. However, the room was outdated, the bed and pillows were terrible, the shower is looking like 30 years old. Breakfast and dinner were basic. The coffee is from automatic machines and not tasty.

We had the most wonderful stay at Sorriso! So much to do at the hotel you honestly don’t ever need to leave for a relaxing stay. We walked 3 minutes up the street and rented scooters for a day to go around the island. The hotel has shuttle service to the beach below. The restaurants were delicious, fresh, local and even a nightlife scene right at the hotel. The staff is so friendly and wonderful we just really had a relaxing stay. 10/10 experience!

Okay for the location and price

It was the only hotel close to the beach that I could find to an okay price. Different staffs had different personalities but overall it was good and helpful service. You can get free shuttle to / from the forio port and to the beach. Location is great, there are some food markets + pharmacy nearby and bus stations that go everywhere on the island. The room was okay. I travelled alone and the single room was an of reasonable size. The balcony was nice but the view not so much, but I’m not too picky. Good breakfast with many varieties and a good pool area. The hotel and area is mostly visited by Italian families on holidays but they all seemed kind and greet you whenever you see each other.

Not the Standard We Expected

We booked an upgraded “Classic Double Room” to avoid cheaper rooms in the Separate Building Outside the Hotel. Upon arrival, our luggage was taken, which at first seemed like good service, but only because we had to walk 350 meters up and down steep terrain, past private houses unrelated to the hotel. Finding the way was so difficult that a staff member had to guide us – something they appeared to do for all guests. At reception we asked if there was a mistake, but were told that other rooms were even further away, while those closer to the main building were of much lower standard. This meant a 700-meter round trip not only for breakfast every morning, but also for every visit to the hotel facilities – something I would never recommend for elderly or less mobile guests. The rooms are outdated but functional, though we found mold around the air conditioning outlet. Fortunately, we only stayed a week. The view of the sea was beautiful, but that was the highlight. Pictures online match somewhat, but are clearly more flattering than reality. Mandatory swimming caps in the pool were never mentioned beforehand, and even hotel photos show guests swimming without them. Breakfast was disappointing: staff ate directly from the buffet while guests were still dining, and the coffee machine barely worked. The restaurant view was lovely, but impossible to enjoy due to the number of wasps outside. Overall, the surroundings are beautiful, but definitely not 4-star standards.

Le personnel du restaurant Oasis était au top. En revanche l’accès à la chambre dans les dépendance est un véritable parcours du combattant, volet roulant cassé, bruit de la climatisation, infiltration d’eau, chasse d’eau cassée… alors que les chambres sont sensée avoir été rénovées. On nous a changé de chambre mais volet roulant également cassé et chasse d’eau également dysfonctionnelle. Petit déjeuner très moyen. 4 étoiles s’est surévalué…

Il sorriso Resort non ha nulla da invidiare ai lussuosi 5 Stelle presenti sull'isola. È un hotel che mi ha soddisfatto completamente. Eccellente in tutto, dalla pulizia delle camere e delle aree comuni alla cortesia del personale, dalla qualità del cibo del ristorante alla meravigliosa colazione. Perfetti gli addetti alla reception, impeccabili i camerieri e lo staff del ristorante, ottima la cucina, molto invitante tutta l'area spa, che purtroppo rimpiango di non aver avuto il tempo di provare ma mi riservo di farlo appena mi sarà possibile. Mi auguro con tutto il cuore che questo hotel non cambi mai perché sarà sempre il mio punto di riferimento sull'isola di Ischia e il mio consiglio per un soggiorno rilassante a tutte le persone che conosco.

Da rivedere alcune cose.

Hotel con visuale dei tramonti sulla spiaggia d Citara Hotel pulito tranne la parte della piscina termale interna sporca su tutto il perimetro interno e odore di muffa. Non funzionanti idromassaggi piscina esterna e interna. Colazione nella media. Personale non sorridente all' interno della struttura m e a volte non rispondono neanche al saluto.
