Rose's Motel

Rose's Motel

8/10 Good
"Scott was helpful in recommending good places to eat in Willcox. Rose‘s is charming but quirky. The bathroom door would only close if the toilet seat was up. The window curtains covered the air conditioning unit so the curtain had to be hand tied and bunched up on the top small window sill above the unit. My wife complained that the shower was either too hot or too cold and opted for an undesirable cold shower; but I opened both faucets wide and my shower was perfect. All-in-all a good stay."

Comfortable, Quiet, and Remote Studio On A Working Ranch In Southern Arizona

Comfortable, Quiet, and Remote Studio On A Working Ranch In Southern Arizona

10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was perfect! The location was so close to the Chiricahua National Monument that we actually came back to the cottage for lunch! The setting on a ranch was beautiful, with lots of interesting wildlife and a small outbuilding that served as a museum. They had Native American artifacts, geological specimens, settler tools and other hardware etc., all very well displayed and identified. The cottage was spacious and well equipped, with great labelling of all the drawers and cabinets. Janna and her family were very friendly but not intrusive. We had some nice talks with Jim, the patriarch and Janna's daughter even lent us some tools when our car battery began to fail, and I had to drive to Willcox to replace it. If we ever go back to the Chiricahua National Monument, this is the only place we will consider staying."

817WK 3 National Parks/3 Ghost Town/16 Wineries/25-Acre Birding Ranch Fun ~WIFI~

10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I had a great time at the Hummingbird Ranch because it was a comfortable clean house, quiet area, everything is there you need in the kitchen or entertainment like interesting books to read or 100's of DVD's to watch. There is also plenty of entertainment outside watching the hummingbirds, cactus wrens, thrashers, orioles, hawks and even a Great Horned Owl. The night skies are also a show that can entertain you for hours and a chance to see the International Space Station if the timing is right. Going off the ranch is also fun to hike at Cochise Stronghold or the amazing rock formations at Chiracahua National Monument. Wine tasting at Willcox or visiting the western town of Tombstone plus much more. Our hosts, Renee and Steve are very proactive in making sure your needs are met and provide lots of notes and directions around the house on how things work in case you need the help. We would definitely rent this place again."
