"We thoroughly enjoyed the charm of this property. It is definitely unique and I only wish we had more time to enjoy it. One night was not enough. There is a game room dow stairs and the little we got use it due to our schedule was great. It’s so great to be able to spend time playing with our kids. The beds were super comfortable. The mini fridge in the room is definitely a mini fridge but we made it work. But it has a dedicated freezer that works amazing for refreshing your cooler packs. If we make it out this way again we would definitely stay here again. The only downside would be if you have trouble going up stairs. Do to the age of the building you have to go up stairs to get to the second floor where all the rooms are located. But if you have no problems with stairs this is an amazing place to stay with elementary age or older kids."

"Room newly renovated and updated. Easy check-in and access to the room. Breakfast was simple but nice with sausage, egg, and cheese croissants, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, muffins, fruit, and several drink choices. Enjoyed our stay. "

"This house was just as pretty in person as it is in the photos. The area is quiet and there are lovely views. We enjoyed the sunsets from the front porch. I will definitely book this home again."

"We used the place as a base to explore Fort Davis, Alpine, and Marfa. Went to Star Party at McDonald Observatory as well. This is a great location and the house is just a few blocks from downtown Fort Davis. House was great, even better than described online, and central air was huge blessing when temperatures hit 100 outside. Not much to do in Fort Davis though. And most of the local restaurants either close after lunch or are out of business altogether. That said, this was a great location as a base. We stayed two nights and then headed to Big Bend for the remainder of the trip."
