Deceptive listing
We had booked this property due to the beautiful view of the waterfront, in the photos and the access to the water. When we arrived at the property, there was a giant yacht down by the waterfront, that took over the complete waterfront access. You literally could only fish in a tiny little corner. The pool was dirty. There was trash all in the front of the property with over flowing garbage. I called the property manager. He said the pool was dirty because of the rain and that he would send somebody over to clean up all the garbage in the front of the house. The following day they send somebody to clean the pool, but no one to clean up the garbage, so I ended up cleaning it up. Also they were trying to sell the yacht, so they had people coming in and out of the yard to either work on the boat or prospective buyers looking at the boat. I complained to VROB that it was a deceptive listing, that there was literally no access to the waterfront due to this giant yacht blocking the complete view. I went back-and-forth with VRBO. I receive no compensation for their deceptive listing. I’d say if I knew the water front was completely blocked. I would have chosen a different property. VROB‘s response was the owner didn’t feel he needed to reimburse me with regards to his deception. What a joke.
