Fort Benning's first mission was to provide basic training for units participating in World War I. With the end of that war, Benning was closed until the Army could find another use. The first tenant unit was the Infantry School, which General George Marshall commanded beginning in 1934. The Infantry School is still located at Fort Benning, as are the wooden permanent buildings completed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.

The beds were very comfortable, the master suite was HUGE and bathrooms in each room was so nice! Kitchen was fully stocked and the reclining couches were so comfortable. Owners were very informative providing directions to the base and recommendations of restaurants in the area. "

"This house was just the right fit and area for our family during our stay for my nephew turning green ceremony. The house was comfortable and cozy. Everything convenient. Defiantly would stay here again when visiting the area. The pictures on the wall of ranger qs absolutely amazing and interesting to look at and price was reasonable.thabk you again!!!"

"My family stayed here for our SIT’s Turning Green ceremony. The home is beautiful!! Everything was wonderful. Very easy check in, very clean, very much a great place to stay. "Backyard is AMAZING for dogs. The laundry room was perfect for kennels. House is very spacious & neighborhood is nice, quiet & local to any shopping you would need. Close to Ft Benning so perfect for graduation trips. We will definitely use this home again"
