Great Vacation Home

The location is really nice. Its right across the street from the beach and less than a 5 minute walk to Publix. Publix came in very handy since we were traveling with children. It was also super nice that we were able to heat the pool. It made it really nice to spend time in after the sun went down. I would definitely stay here again.

Beach House

Our stay was good. It was our daughter, son-in-law, their 2 sons, ages 14 and 11, my husband and me. We had a view of the Gulf because of the devastation of Hurricane Ian. The only thing that kept it from being wonderful was the grimy floors. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and found everything we needed; all the pots and pans and skillets. Publix is within walking distance-thank goodness!

Timining of Stay

Our parcel of property was beautiful. You could tell the property owners worked hard to get their home habitable after the devastation of Hurrican Ian. It was ackward vacationing around such devastation caused by the hurricane. It is still like a war zone there. The home next door was gone. Just devastation everywhere. We made the most of it, even with red tide and a beach full of dead fish, we made the most of it. To make the stay more comfortable, the house could use some board games, more bakeware and cooking utensils, improvement in water pressure, kitchen towels, trash and recycling bins on both levels of the home, and a tire pump for the bicycles. Again, we were pleased with the home, just poor timing with the aftermath of the horrific hurricane that desimated the Island.

Great Location, Cute House!

The house was very clean and put together. A lot of décor, but perfect theme for a beach getaway (we had to put several items up b/c we had two young kids with us). Water pressure in showers was great. Central air was amazing. The king beds were soft and pillows were flat. Stacked washer/dryer are free and worked well. A couple rolls of TP, one paper towel, and 3 trash bags provided for starter kit. The house access is on the second floor. The pool access is ground level; no direct pool access from the house (We were nervous with two littles) There is a toilet & sink in the garage - simple & AWESOME for pool. The pool was perfect in size for 4 adults, 2 kids. Lots of seating to hang towels when swimming. An outdoor shower to rinse off. The pool has full sun until 3-4p (in July). Location was perfect - far enough south to avoid all the crazy, but convenient to be a couple min drive to most things. Publix is maybe a block away. A public beach access across the street, you can see a little of the beach on either of the condo directly across the street. The condo does block out the sound of the ocean. It is maybe a two min walk from the front door to water front. Beach was clean, minimal seaweed. The management company was nice to communicate with; timely replies, and very helpful. The few cons we have are pretty basic. Even with these, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property. - A 5p check-in was a bummer but understandable for cleaning and such between renters. - We were a little disappointed with the lack of pool and beach amenities listed on the site. (it would've been helpful to not overbuy stuff before check-in. We understand it's a managed listing, and for physical/liability reasons they don't list every item). That being said - When we were there in late July 2022, they did have a few adult bicycles, a couple beach chairs, a medium and small beach cooler, a beach umbrella, beach wagon, some pool floaties (many had holes, but they did have a hand pump so we didn't pass out finding that out after all the trouble, lol) - The bedsheet quality on the two king beds was disappointing considering the quality of everything else in the house. They were very thin. - As noted by the owners, the sound bar by the pool randomly turns on at varying hours of the day/night. Recommend to turn it all the way down before turning off, we turned off power strip as well Five stars from us! Thank you!

Perfect vacation getaway!

Perfect location and size for a vacation getaway. Very easy access to the beach and your own pool in the back yard. Great large porch with a dynamite view of the Gulf.

Incredible!

We stayed here over 4th of July and had an amazing time with the family and kids. The location is beyond incredible. We literally walked across the street to the beach and had all the supplies we needed to. The bar was so fun to have and we swam every single day. The kids basically took over the pool and it was great to wear them out lol. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Fort Myers beach!

Exceeded my expectations

Blue Starfish Estate was the BEST surprise I've ever had with a vacation rental. We have always stayed oceanfront and this is the first time we rented an actual house and weren't right on the beach. The house still had amazing views and a very gorgeous, clean private pool. We found ourselves enjoying the pool more than the beach. Everything we needed was there and we even enjoyed a bike ride to breakfast one morning. There was a little confusion about checkout but that was nothing to do with the property or the owner. If you are looking for a clean, beautiful home with plenty of privacy and amenities, Blue Starfish Estate is the place for you. A+++++

Perfect location and great pool/bar area!

We love to stay mid-island by Newton Park Beach and close to Publix. The beds were comfortable, very cutely decorated, and we had everything we needed for our stay. The private pool and outdoor bar area was such a nice addition so we could go between beach days and then hanging out at the pool and bar area. Also we loved having coffee on the front deck and watching traffic in the mornings. We can’t wait to go back!

It was paradise

This property has a prime location. Walking distance to beach, grocery store, Bistro, Mission Church. Traffic was challenging so we used the bicycles available to us too. White sands and stunning sunsets were enjoyed by all.

Better than expected

We haven't been to Fort Myers Beach in 5 years & were looking for a place to relax & see all of our old favorite places. The Blue Starfish exceeded our expectations! The location is almost mid-island which is perfect (1 block fron Publix). The kitchen & family room areas were large & very comfortable. There are 3 good size bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms. Everything was clean & the kitchen had a lot of spices & all of the "kitchen stuff" you will need. There are extra blankets & beach towels for you to use. The washer and dryer are a great amenity and easy to use. The pool area is amazing!!! The pool was big enough for us & the bar area was really cool, also the bathroom down there was an added bonus. If there was a downside, it would be the guest bathroom. The tub did not drain for us as we showered & the water pressure was not great, but do not let that tiny issue turn you away. We made the company aware of this so hopefully they address it. Overall our stay was 10/10. We would 100% recommend this place. 1 last thing, be aware of the beach traffic. During peak season (Jan - Easter) it may take you over an hour to go from one side of the island to the other. Just a heads up, there's no getting around it. Just plan accordingly & have fun!

Beautiful Home/Great Management

The home, is better then the pictures show, it is beautifully decorated & the cleanliness was above expectations!! What a backyard play area!! Throughout the whole house there is plenty of space to enjoy together or if you want to escape(=>) the family for a minute there are many areas to relax alone. The location is perfect. It is next to a Pubix grocery store with a marina directly behind it. Where we charted a fishing trip & dolphin cruise. While the beach is directly across the street you don't have to be there to see, hear or smell it. It's glorious!! While the full on sunset isn't visible you can still enjoy the radiant colors from the front deck of the home. My complaints for the home itself are miniscule. As we are the kind of family who enjoy cooking we would like to suggest adding baking/cookie pans, a couple of casserole dishes & few more cooking utensils to your supply. Also a few more dish towels & washcloths would be beneficial. I would like to thank the property manager(s) for the prompt response & courtesy in handling my questions (complaints) on the contract. The error was completely mine but I wasn't made to feel embarrassed by my mistake! It's not only nice find an amazing place to rent. It's reassuring to know that the great service doesn't stop once the check is cashed. We will definitely rent here again & recommend others to do so as well.

Perfect Location

The property had everything you could possibly want, including beach chairs, bicycles, cooler for the beach, etc.. Location is prime, right around the corner from Public and right across the street from the beach. Mid island is perfect. Choice of lounging by the pool or going to the beach was great! Would definitely stay here again!!

Quick family getaway

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. Pool was great, so close to the beautiful beach, the kitchen is great for cooking. Had some issues with the internet not working, but I am sure the management will take care of it. Would definitely stay again!
