"It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it! Thank you to our hosts for providing a space that made our trip outstanding. I am sorry that I was remiss in posting this review! I was surprised to see that I hadn't done so. We would gladly stay in this space again!"

"The house was charming. Kitchen had everything one could possibly need. We spent a lot of time at the kitchen table admiring the view of the harbor. We especially enjoyed the artwork in the home. The stairs were steep so the handrail was important. I loved the third floor bedroom and spent a few rainy hours in the chair by the bay window. The third floor bath is only for short people- so fine for me. Location was good. Beware that in October restaurants can be closed for the season. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights and would book again if returning to the area. "

"Beautiful coastal home with stunning ocean views. This was our first visit, and we absolutely loved it. The large porch and multiple decks overlooking the cove offered amazing sunrises, moonlit evenings, and gorgeous sunsets. The property feels private, even with neighboring homes nearby. Check-in was easy, and communication with our host, Maggie, was excellent and prompt.We enjoyed walking the trails down to the beach to watch the lobster boats from the rocky shore. The home was very clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals. It’s clearly a well-loved, casually comfortable home that made us feel welcome. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Maggie, we hope to return!"
