While the house has great historical value, it probably should not be a vacation rental. Apparently it is lived in as there were clothes hanging in closets, personal items in bathrooms and drawers, and a LOT of food in kitchen! We have never experienced that in a VRBO before. BATS and guano in upstairs bedrooms. (Host could not be reached) One bedroom we needed to use could NOT be used due to window being open with extension cord going to another building! Granddaughter had to sleep on floor in room with her father. (Again, host could not be reached) Kitchen was a joke for families staying multiple days so we ate out every meal. No outlets for hair dryers and curling irons. This house does belong on historical registry, but not on VRBO! DO NOT RECOMMEND AS RENTAL!!
