"What’s fantastic person the owner, Cheryl is!! Friendly and helpful!! She’d double booked so she gave us her whole house to use!! The property was very well maintained and even came with a semi tame weka!! (A NZ ground bird) A cereal breakfast, milk, yoghurt and filter coffee we’re left for us!! Even the wifi was strong!! The rooms and bathroom were very comfortable and I would fully recommend this motel. I would love to stay again even though I’d get a much smaller room!!"

"Great bach. Very nostalgic. Location is excellent. It's a bach so not fancy but is clean, well equipped and so cool how it is tucked between the beach and the enormous cliffs behind it. The pancake rocks are minutes away, the rivers and beach are amazing, and the Punakaiki pub and garden bar are great for a cold beer and something to eat. "

"Absolutely amazing spot. Breathtaking views warm cozy apartment with everything you need. Great location with nice access to the beach. Excellent communication from Ray. Even giving suggestions for activities on over the weekend. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back. Cheers. "

Te Nikau Retreat - Hostel

"I stayed 1 night here with family and really enjoyed it. We arrrived just at sun set and the owner met us. We went straight to the beach from the property via a forest track where you can watch the sunset. We had a large self catering cottage to ourselves and our room was ensuite. Very pleasant stay and really quiet location. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay again."
