Only 2 minutes walk from the estuary, this is a traditional family bach has all the basics for a great time away!

It's a real unplug and reconnect Kiwi holiday - enjoy the peace with no TV or phone to interrupt your board games, swimming, walks and reading time.

The bach is very family-friendly, with books, magazines, board games and toys all available to use. Playgrounds, Four Square, dairy and fish and chip shops are all in easy walking distance.

This is also a wonderful spot for a couple wanting some time to reconnect with walks along the beach, a coffee at the local cafe and some serious downtime from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The bach has space for 10 people - two sets of bunks (one with a double), a queen-size bed, one single bed and two fold out couches.

The house is only 90sqm so while it can sleep that many, it's best for those who are happy with intimacy with their family and friends :)

Special conditions:
This bach is a basic kiwi Bach that will take you back in time but please don't expect perfection! We'd hate for you to be disappointed.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house throughly and do the dishes before you leave, wash all bedding and towels and take all your rubbish with you.

Fantastic mid-winter getaway

We loved our time here - cosy around the fireplace, lots for the kids to do inside and out, lots of different ways to configure the sleeping arrangements, and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Location was great too, just a minutes walk from the Estuary for bike rides and sunsets. And lovely hosts!

Great place for a base visiting family . Lots of space on the lawn for kids and dog. Close to estuary for beautiful walks. Basic kiwi bach suited us well

We loved our stay at your Bach! Very cosy and just what we needed to relax and unwind for our holiday. Handy to everything and great location for long beach walks, runs and our daily games of tennis.

A relaxing Break

25 Shortt Street might be old but it was a delightful place to unwind. It had everything we needed including modern appliances and warm comfortable beds. It is walking distance to the beach, the esplanade, a dairy, takeaways, and a short drive from other places to visit. We will be back!

Large house in great location

Nice to have space for the whole family. Plenty of space and beds for everyone. The location makes it easy to get to the beach, local four square and cafe. Not too far from Levin for more amenities and Palmerston is just a drive away.

Quintessential Kiwi Bach

The bach has a lot packed into a small space, we had a cozy winter weekend with the fire roaring. Really enjoyed the beachy vibe and cool cafe on the main street.

cozy haven

Well represented in the description of property online- spacious and was great for 2 older female friends and small dog. Everything you need for a great hassle free stay with lots of thoughtful extras like loads of rugs and blankets and board games puzzles etc . Having no wifi was perfect in enabling us to unwind from the internet world.

Awesome bach- dog and child friendly

Felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the spaciousness of beds. Alot of toys and board games for our children. Plenty of yard for our dog also.

Great little bach by the estuary

This place does exactly what it says on the tin, it's a very bach-y batch, where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with your whanau. No TV, no WiFi, just a place to chill, play games, read a book and warm yourself by the fire. It's not the fanciest, and would be quite a squeeze if you filled all the beds, but great for a family. Could probably do with a dining table inside the house, but the breakfast bar is fine for up to four people.

Mid-winter family

Great times in this cosy bach. Location is excellent and very down to earth and homely place. We were all very comfortable and great to bring the dogs with fully fenced section. Huge selection of games to choose from and 2 mins walk to the boat club. Recommended.

Was our major holiday for the year. Couldn’t fault the place. Soo roomy and light. Lovely big back yard for the dogs to play in and great parking for the cars. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely use it again
