"The hotel is very well placed just on the edge of the city centre. It’s a relatively short walk from the railway station and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance. Across the road is a park which will take you down to the river with cycleways and walks out into the countryside or along the river beside the old town. The room was comfortable and the bathroom and separate toilet were modern and well equipped."

"It's OK when you stop for a night, but not as good as many other IBIS locations we stayed. The most annoying was missing easily an underground parking before the hotel. then you need to drive around (one ways streets) to get to the parking that is very tight for a regular car."

"The staff are brilliant (especially monsieur parfait :-) ) they are all proud and invested in the success of the place , you get a real team vibe abou it . I have stayed here twice in one month now and both times was made to feel soooooo welcome, the first time was as a solo traveler in the pouring rain when as a late arrival I was given a hot meal and a warm welcome, the second time was with a colleague when we ventured out to the nearby excellent restaurant, after enjoying a drink in the hotel bar The hotel is newly renovated and superbly clean, it’s in a quiet location but not far from the highway. It should not be classified a two star hotel, it should be a three star , which it definitely will be as soon as the classification board see the renovations etc, (the hotel is currently awaiting reclassification) all the staff are super friendly and helpful. The pool area , although not open when I stayed due to the season, looks lovely, the breakfast was simple but good and good value for money. Overall the hotel is not pretentious, but wecoming , clean and comfortable, I will definitely be back and will be recommending to my colleagues , it will be our go to place when we are passing through to the south of France and italy / Spain or working in Dijon "

"We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on a driving trip through Burgundy. The staff here was exceptional and did everything they could to make our stay easy and comfortable. The hotel itself is charming, and I have to say that the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had on our trip. Also, the hotel is within easy walking distance of everything you want or need to see while visiting Besancon. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel welcomed in Besancon. "

"Car parking poor. The car park was full and the overflow arrangement with the local railway station is not user friendly. It took 30 mins to exit car park with hotel issued tickets which fail to raise exit barrier. Separately, wifi not accessible . Not acceptable in today’s age. Hotel layout weird and signage to some rooms disappears long before you’re close to room. I would not return to this hotel."
