Our house is on the outskirts of Rauenstein, very close to the forest, on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest, amidst the national park. You can find peace and quiet away from stress in our comfortably furnished holiday apartment with a wealth of charming details in the attic of the house. From our holiday accommodation you can enjoy a view of the locality and a wonderful panoramic view far out into the landscape. In the morning the first ray of sunshine greets you through the bedroom window and the day often ends with an impressive sunset.

Our holiday apartment measures 75m² and consists of the following rooms: a living room with a sofa, TV etc., a fully-equipped kitchen unit with a hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher and dining corner, a fully-furnished bedroom, a little bedroom next to it with two single beds, as well as a bathroom newly installed in 2017 with a bath, shower and WC. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included in the price.

The terrace and the lawn are furnished with garden furniture, a parasol and loungers. The site is detached and enjoys a quiet location. Several seating groups by the house and a generous lawn with table tennis invite you to laze. You can enjoy original Thuringian specialities during an entertaining grill evening at the newly built grill area. On cool or rainy days, our conservatory invites you to enjoy cosy hours.

Our house is on a slope. Breakfast is available on request, as well as a bread rolls delivery service and drinks service. You can grill by the house and in the garden. Bicycles are available. Internet access is free. A travel bed is available for children. There is children’s play equipment on the lawn. We can provide hiking poles and mountain bikes for your trips and accompany you on hiking tours on request.

The unique and varied landscape on the south slope of the Thuringian Forest between Coburger Land and the Rennsteig steeped in myth will impress you as soon as you arrive. Hiking paths such as the famous Way of St. James and cycle paths lead directly past the house. The Rennsteig, the most well-known hiking trail in Thuringia, is just 10km away. On the gold trail from Almerswind to Goldistal you can experience the history of gold close up and of course pan for gold yourself. Good luck! The exciting history of gold mining can be experienced at the Gold Museum in Theuern. You can walk through an area of pristine nature along the former interior German border at the Grüner Band just 8kmaway. Rauenstein has been part of the Frankenblick municipality since 1.1.2014 and is in the Thuringian Forest national park. Many places of interest, such as Zinselhöhle in Meschenbach, a natural karst cave, the castle ruins of the Schaumberger, the turtle-doll museum in Rauenstein, the German Toy Museum in Sonneburg can tell you a lot about our region. In any weather! Of course you can spend an interesting holiday here in any season. You can cool off in summer in the two outdoor pools in the region, while leisure and indoor pools and nearby thermal pools also invite you to relax. In winter, well-maintained ski touring and winter hiking trails from Rauenstein to the Rennsteig are a special experience in a wonderful winter landscape. You can go alpine skiing at the nearby Silbersattel ski arena, with a snow tubing facility and sledging slopes providing winter fun for all ages. Owing to the central location, we are an ideal starting point for many cultural and tourist sights in Thuringia and Franken. Tourist routes such as the nature park route, the porcelain route and the toy route lead through Rauenstein. Erfurt, Oberhof, Bad Staffelstein, Bamberg are about an hour away.
