"Super spot for me near the bottom of the Franklin-Highlands road. I was there for a family emergency, but I can’t wait to come back and put those kayaks to good use. There was an administrative issue that created some problems with check-in, but the hosts did everything they could to resolve the issue. Great people! Being able to sit out on the back porch over the Culasaja River was so peaceful and I really enjoyed listening to the roiling water as I drifted off to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and I had everything I needed except a full length mirror. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to come back!"

"The Carolina Motel was great! Clean and comfortable with friendly staff who worked hard to give us a great stay at the motel. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed including a very comfy bed. My only reason for the 4 instead of 5 is that, because it is a little older, it had a tiny bit of a musty smell like many hotels of this age and type do. However, we felt it was a great value and very positive experience and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Carolina Motel staff!"
