The house was lovely. The layout was very unique and was interesting exploring the house and decor. The beds were comfortable; the house temperature setting was perfect. Towels were plentiful and fluffy. Some minor changes could have improved our stay. The lockbox was difficult to open without breaking fingernails. The oven really should have a vent and overhead light.

We absolutely loved this home and it is in a great spot for visiting downtown Fredericksburg. In fact, we were there to see the Christmas parade and it lined up on our street right in front of the house before the parade. The host was easy to work with and I would happily stay there again

Fantastic stay!

The house is wonderful and full of "take you back in time" antiquities. Roomie, clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend and use again with a big group because of price.

Family trip

Great place to stay. Location was perfect. Home had plenty of room for 8 girls. Very easy check in and out. Would definitely use again.

Last minute cancellation-Plumbing issue

I was really looking forward to staying here for my mom’s 70th birthday and had family from all over coming to visit, so it was very disappointing to get a voice mail stating that my reservation was cancelled due to a plumbing issue. I had to scramble to find another house with 4 bedrooms which isn’t easy. Then I wasn’t initially refunded the full amount and had to call and request a full refund. I called Vrbo and explained that I wasn’t the one who cancelled, so I got my money hack. It was just a hassle, and It was disappointing. .

Our group of moms came to stay. We loved the house. It was close walking distance to the town. The living room furniture was comfy to sit on and talk. The porch was awesome. We spent a lot of time out there just chatting. I'd stay here again! Thanks for making it really comfortable and homey.

Charming home!

This lovely house is perfectly situated just a few blocks from the main street of Fredericksburg. There was ample space for our group of six to spread out or gather together. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a perfect-for-our-needs mini dishwasher. We enjoyed time on the large front porch. My only reservation about this rental is that the bed my husband and I chose was not very comfortable. There were two more bedrooms than we needed, so we probably should have channeled our inner Goldilocks and checked them out. The management company was quick to answer any questions that arose. Overall, it was a perfect place for our family gthering.

Great place, better communication needed

Fantastic property! Tons of space, so close to main street, and just adorable. Was not told we could not use the driveway until the day before my stay. When i received pre-check in email with contact info i reached out but got no response. Had to call the company to get access info because none ever came. Definitely worth staying here though.

Perfect Xmastime Getaway

A wonderful old house in the perfect location. We had a small mix of friends and family, adults and kids, and loved shopping and dining our way through downtown Fredericksburg just before Xmas. The park with all its lights is just a block away. Downtown shops and restaurants less than a 5 minute walk. Wonderful and comfortable house. We will be back!

Antique & Adorable

Our group loved the atmosphere of the historic home. The house was charming and unique. It has real character, but also, some quirks due to its age. The house is little squeaky and not in perfect shape, but that is because of the age of the home. Guests should know they can communicate any questions or concerns to the company and receive quick response! Thanks for a great time!

Family fun!

This house worked pretty perfectly for a large multi-generational family visit. The 5 bedrooms gave everyone private sleeping space but there were plenty of common space to share and visit in. From breakfast and coffee around the dining table, to wine and cards under the Arbor, to chatting in the living room, the house was a perfect base for spending time in as well as making it easy to walk to shops/restaurants and only a short drive out to wineries/distilleries and other sites!

High school friends reunion, class on 1970

The location is wonderful. The drive up to the property is very disappointing!!!!! The yard had not been mowed in over a month. Debris from the storm several weeks ago was everywhere. All flower beds have weeds no flowers which I understand with the heat needs to be weeded. Giant cobwebs on the porch, the air conditioner struggles in the afternoon to keep up with the heat. The vintage single pane windows offer no support in the heat. The drip coffee maker does not work and the Kureg had a clog in the supply line and was not functioning on the last day. Luckily one person brought her own coffee pot as b n b's don't have functioning coffee makers, so we had one. The mattress upstairs was concave and the hump in the middle looked like a dead body. No one slept there so we doubled up in other rooms. The couches downstairs are vintage and cute but you almost fall through the springs. It is very charming and close in which was nice to meet everyone's needs but it is overpriced for what you get. I would look elsewhere.
