"What a beautiful resort. The beach, the pool and the views were all incredible. I enjoyed the beachfront room. The back porch doors completely open up and you can keep the shutters shut so you have privacy while still hearing the crashes of the waves. The staff was friendly and helpful. "

"This property is so lovely. We love smaller boutique hotels and this one was perfect. It has a very private balcony that looks out over the ocean. We were supplied with utensils and dishes for 2, glassware, coffee and creamer and a bottle of wine. The hotel checked with us in the morning of arrival to see when we would be coming. The place has two bars and a restaurant (make reservations before going!) It is also walking distance from 3 restaurants on the water and great snorkeling at Cane Bay. We did rent a car so mostly everything was about a 20-30 minutes drive on average. Some suggestions if you stay here…. Definitely get some water and snacks at the grocery store. The restaurants around the place are not open every day and night. Suggest getting breakfast items to have in your room and maybe dinner options. Besides this we plan to stay here again!"

"It was all wonderful, but the thing that stood out most was the incredible staff. Josh, in particular, went so far out of his way to be kind and helpful to a couple of newbies (us) who had entirely too many questions and had done far too little research about the island before arriving. Thanks, Josh! Oh, and the food! If you try nothing else, have the seafood chowder. The best I've had anywhere, and I'm a chowder fanatic. We will definitely be back once we get a few other bucket list trips out of the way. Highly recommended if you want a truly laid-back vacation without all the hype and crowds found at other resorts on other islands. "

"I had an amazing stay. Literally steps from the calmest beach I’ve ever been to. The room was exceptionally clean, just a little outdated— but I did book their last room available so it makes sense. I was told that the property is so popular you need to book the room at least 11 months in advance. Overall I would most definitely recommend this stay if you’re going for a chill, romantic, or family oriented stay. 10/10."

"The hotel was in a great location. Blocks away from local restaurants. Through The Grapevine Restaurant was one of the best authentic Caribana food. Hotel staff was friendly. The pool was amazing. Hotel bartender was great. "

"The Buccaneer overdelivered in every way. From the moment I arrived, the service felt personal,not robotic or rehearsed, but real. Breakfast was included with our stay, and let me tell you, it wasn't your standard hotel buffet. Every morning brought something new and thoughtfully prepared,full-service, flavorful, and far from repetitive. They managed to surprise us daily, and as a self-proclaimed foodie, I never had a bad bite on this property. Both beachside restaurants? Legit. Whether it was fresh-caught fish or a tropical cocktail crafted like art, the meals matched the views,elevated but unpretentious. Cleanliness? Impeccable. Housekeeping went beyond the basics without ever being intrusive. What really sets this place apart, though, are the people. The drivers who shuttled us around were beyond friendly,they felt like locals who genuinely wanted you to fall in love with their island. Empress at the front desk? Deserves a raise and her own fan club. She’s attentive, kind, and has a calm command of everything happening on the property. The beaches are exactly what you imagine when you book a Caribbean trip: pristine, peaceful, and never overcrowded. The entire resort is kept in top shape,grounds, rooms, pools, everything. And one underrated detail: they’ve got a taxi line ready to take you anywhere on the island, 24/7. Whether I was heading out for dinner in Christiansted or coming back from an adventure, I felt totally covered and safe, which made exploring the island."

"Great stay. Staff was friendly. Area around hotel is a bit run down but very bright and quiet after dark. Breakfast was hot, delicious, and cheap. Expect to wait about an hour after ordering. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Overall stay was excellent."
