The front desk staff was welcoming and professional. Upon going to my room the curtains were broken so wouldn't block out light and the room was quite chilly. I tried to turn up the temp without luck so called the front desk. He had someone come and "adjust" it who said it would take 10 min to kick ...

Rooms were clean, had a mini fridge which is actually usually hard to find in NYC. Even had free coffee which again is not common in nyc. I liked not having to interact with staff

Freeport is a small town, getting there involved traffic.
Other than the police in that area.. Freeport isn’t bad at all.
Once we got beyond the area directly around the hotel, Freeport was lovely. We very much enjoyed Jones Beach, the Nautical Mile, and the local parks.
The area right around the hotel was dirty, unsafe, and loud - especially when the restaurant next door had live music until 11 pm. But we loved Jones Beach and The Nautical Mile. The town overall was very sweet.
I was disappointed that I saw lower prices for the same inn with travelocity.
