"We had wonderful few days at Quinta dos Carvalhais. The place is sparkling clean, the settings is magical and the hosts could not be friendlier or more generous. We already miss it and hope we can stay here again next time we are at Serra da Estrela. Obrigado!"

"Fantastisch uitzicht en door familie gerund! Accomodatie was voor ons slecht vindbaar. Een wegbeschrijving zou fijn zijn, steile weg naar boven, wij kwamen van de verkeerde kant aanrijden en dan is het een avontuur om de Quinta te bereiken. We hadden ons meer voorgesteld van de sfeer en gezelligheid, helaas waren we de enige gasten en had Carlos geen hart meer voor zijn bedrijf. Ze gaan ook stoppen met deze quinta. En op zondag wordt er niet gekookt, wij aten eenvoudig op zaterdagavond en prijs...

Being just a short drive to the town made it easy to get provisions and the location worked out well for us to explore the Douro Valley and its many treasures. António was a fabulous and helpful host. We highly recommend a stay here and we hope to be back again someday!"
